Broad Nosh Bagels Deli & Catering 58th Street Introduce
Broad Nosh Bagels Deli & Catering, located on 58th Street, is a bustling and popular eatery that has become a fixture in the Midtown West neighborhood. This establishment is more than just a bagel shop; it's a full-service deli and catering company that serves a wide variety of meals, making it a reliable and convenient stop for breakfast and lunch. For New Yorkers and tourists alike who are looking for a quick and satisfying meal in a very busy part of the city, Broad Nosh provides a practical solution. The shop’s identity is built around efficiency and a diverse menu, designed to cater to the fast-paced nature of the surrounding area.
The bakery's reputation is a mix of positive and mixed feedback, which is common for popular businesses in a highly competitive market like New York City. One review highlights the deliciousness of the food, praising a sausage and egg bagel as "to die for" and a burger as so fresh that a mistake was happily overlooked. This speaks to the quality and appeal of their core menu items. The efficiency of the long line is also noted, indicating that despite the high volume of customers, the service is designed to move quickly. This efficiency is a key aspect of any successful food business in Midtown, where time is of the essence for a significant portion of the clientele.
On the other hand, another review offers a more nuanced perspective, suggesting that while the food is "decent," it may not stand up to the city's highest standards. This review points out that the bagels, while having a "good texture and crunch," don't "wow you at first bite," and that the coffee was a "big miss." This type of feedback is common in a city like New York, where every neighborhood has multiple bagel options, and loyalties run deep. However, the fact that the establishment is "extremely packed" with both locals and tourists is a strong indicator of its popularity and its ability to consistently draw a crowd. The convenience and overall quality of the food seem to be a major draw, even if some of the specific items don't meet the expectations of every connoisseur.
The "Nosh" in the name, which is a Yiddish word for a light snack or meal, perfectly captures the essence of the place. It's a spot where you can grab a quick, hearty, and satisfying bite without a lot of fuss. The a-la-carte menu, which includes everything from bagels to burgers, showcases a broader approach to deli food, making it a versatile option for different times of the day. This article will provide a comprehensive and factual overview of Broad Nosh Bagels Deli & Catering, exploring its strategic location, the range of services it offers, and the key features that have made it a popular spot in the neighborhood. We aim to present a balanced view that acknowledges both the high points and the mixed feedback, helping New Yorkers make an informed decision about where to grab their next meal.
The establishment’s popularity, despite the mixed reviews on some items, is a testament to its effectiveness as a business. In a neighborhood where there is a constant need for fast, reliable, and reasonably priced food, Broad Nosh has successfully positioned itself as a go-to spot. The fact that customers are willing to wait in a long line is a clear sign of its value proposition. While some may argue that there are "much better options just a few minutes away," it's clear that for many, the combination of location, efficiency, and a solid menu is more than enough to keep them coming back.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our last food stop on our trip did not disappoint. It was hot outside and we got worried for a bit that there was no AC inside, thankfully we were wrong. The line was long but efficient, and we had our food about 20 minutes after we got in line. The food was delicious - they got my burger wrong, having put lettuce and tomato on, but it was so fresh I made an exception this time and left the veggies on. Daughter’s sausage and egg bagel was to die for as well. Heartily recommend and will definitely be back!
July 20 · Jeff VeraAt first glance Broad Nosh doesn’t look much like a bagel spot and you may even miss it if you walk a little too fast. The space is decently sized but extremely packed as it seems very popular with locals and tourists, which makes sense given its location. The space is clean but you will be cramped as you squeeze in to get an order off. We ordered a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and an everything bagel with plain cream cheese with a coffee. The orders came out pretty quick given the volume of people there, but we will add that they certainly could benefit from having more workers there.Once we sat down and ate our bagels we were left with mixed feelings. While the bagels weren’t bad, they definitely don’t hold up to others in NYC, let alone the same neighborhood. They have a good texture and crunch but don’t wow you at first bite. The cream cheese is just okay and they put an average amount of it on there in case you’re someone looking for a place that stuffs their bagels. The coffee was a big miss as well. No real flavor and that’s with a splash of milk and sugar. It tasted a bit watered down and that’s coming with the expectation that it would be. Overall, Broad Nosh is a decent bagel spot, just not one we would recommend to others in the neighborhood as there are much better options just a few minutes away.
June 29 · Amber LeeAwesome place! My wife and I visited NYC and decided to get a bagel here. We ordered online and picked them up and they were ready at the scheduled pick up time. I built my own with smoked salmon with bacon scallion cream cheese with a few extra toppings on a jalapeno cheddar bagel and she got a French toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Those were so good that we had to break our rule of not visiting the same eating place twice. We went a few days later and we ordered in person and we got the special which is a smoked salmon with cream cheese, onion, cucumber, capers and dill on an everything bagel. We decided that it was probably the best thing we ate on our trip. Keep doing what you are doing.
June 13 · Jeremy WisemanHad an amazing morning talking with Rob (I believe the owner). He came to our table to welcome us and asking how the food was - and ir was delicious! Each ingredient was so fresh and the bagel omg soooo delicious! But make sure to attentive for any open spots on the tables cause the place gets packed! There was a huge line waiting for the bagels. But it goes fast! The team is very efficient.
April 29 · Stefani GomesVisited Broad Nosh Bagels in Manhattan this morning and was thoroughly impressed! The breakfast bagels were absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. Despite the place being a madhouse with a constant stream of customers, the staff was amazing. They managed the crowd efficiently and had my order ready within 10 minutes. The service was quick, friendly, and professional. If you're in Manhattan and craving a fantastic bagel, Broad Nosh Bagels is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!
