★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Bought an Easter cookie for my granddaughter today and she liked it…..ALSO bought a chocolate cupcake with white frosting and it was ROCK HARD…extremely stale and had to throw it out. Not the first time lately with their cupcakes. I think the new owners bake Snail too much at once and they are not being sold, but they are rather just sitting in the case, waiting for someone to purchase them and this is why they are so rockhard and stale. Their sweet bread does not taste like sweet bread, but rather like pineapple juice. There was really not much flavor and truly something wrong with their recipe. No one would eat it. Lately this bakery has gone downhill.
April 19 · Carol KarsadiMy favorite bakery in peabody .half moons are to die for.
March 25 · xhulio bletawe purchased Portuguese sweet bread from Central Bakery at Brooksby Farm. we picked it because the ingredients were listed, and egg was not on the list. My son is allergic to eggs, so we purchased it as a snack that we thought was safe. my son had an allergic reaction within minutes of eating the Portuguese bread. it was terribly irresponsible to incorrectly list the ingredients.
October 05 · Katelyn TrippCentral Bakery, Peabody, I've been going to this bakery for many years, it has amazing breads and goodies. I go for queijadas de nata and sweet bread, my favorites. There are so many other great choices too, great cakes! For those who aren't aware, its been remodeled; its totally updated and very well lit, modern. Older reviews reflect the old bakery, and they accept credit cards now. Lastly, the staff is great, very helpful and polite. 😊
June 12 · L CKept hearing about whoopie pies and how we had to try them on our vacation. Found Central Bakery near our hotel and they had large sized and small ones. They tasted great. Wish we had more time to try their other amazing looking pastries we saw in the display. Maybe next time we vacation in the Boston area.
