Cookie Society-Southlake Introduce
For Texans craving a sweet indulgence that truly lives up to the state’s “bigger is better” mentality, the search ends in Southlake at Cookie Society. This is not your average neighborhood bakery; it is a gourmet destination co-founded by Marissa and Jeff Allen, a dynamic husband-and-wife duo, and proudly identifies as a woman-owned small business. What started as Marissa’s quest to create the “Ultimate Cookie” has blossomed into a multi-million-dollar dessert brand with locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, becoming the largest Black-owned cookie business in Texas. The Southlake location serves as a welcoming hub for residents looking to experience the treats that have earned national recognition, including a coveted spot on Oprah’s Favorite Things list.
The bakery’s core philosophy centers on crafting cookies that feature indulgent, crispy edges and a chewy, tender center—a perfect textural contrast that elevates the simple cookie to a culinary event. These treats are intentionally massive, often described as nearly twice the size of a typical cookie, making every bite a truly satisfying experience. From the classic, perfectly balanced Chocolate Chip to innovative, decadent flavors inspired by classic desserts, Cookie Society offers a rotating selection of over 70 unique flavors designed to delight every palate. Whether you're a local resident or just passing through the DFW metroplex, a visit to this Southlake establishment promises a taste of gourmet baking excellence right here in Texas.
The passion and competitive spirit that Marissa Allen brought to her baking—honed over countless hours in the kitchen perfecting her recipes—is evident in every item sold. With the strong support and business acumen of her husband, Jeff Allen, a retired NFL player, the bakery quickly gained momentum. Despite launching their first storefront during the challenging beginning of the 2020 pandemic, the business adapted and thrived, thanks to a focus on efficient e-commerce, third-party delivery, and take-out services. This resilience and commitment to quality have cemented Cookie Society-Southlake’s status as a must-try bakery in North Texas.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I went in today to get a cookie and ended up getting four because I couldn’t decide! These cookies are so soft and delicious. My favorite is definitely the iced oatmeal cookie! If you’re craving a sweet treat, this cookie is definitely what you need!

Cookies were not fresh and pretty much all tasted the same. I thought the croissant cookie was a croissant with a cookie inside but that wasn't the case. The cookies did not smell good and could not be salvaged by warming them up. Not worth $5 a cookie. Might try again when they have other varieties.
March 11 · AnonymousI was visiting the area, I saw this establishment on Instagram and decided to stop in. I was excited to try some of the flavors as the menu looked diverse and delicious. We tried the banana pudding, king cake, honey butter biscuit, and frosted oatmeal. The best cookie was hands down the king cake. It basically tasted like a cinnamon roll with the right amount of sweetness. The banana pudding cookie actually tasted like banana! Sometimes banana pudding doesn't taste quite right but this time it did. The other 2 cookies were ok, but nothing to write home about. This place is very very similar to Crumble and Crave cookies except it's more down home and not a huge franchise I don't guess. I'd say the cookies were a 7.5/10. Give them a try for yourself.
March 01 · Aisha McDonaldFirst timer. The cookies are so delicious and fresh. I like the variety of options, as they are not your usual flavors. I had the honey butter biscuit, chocolate chip, salted caramel, and croissant cookie. The staff was kind and helpful. I will be back!
March 09 · EStaI have been coming to Cookie Society for sometime now. I was very intrigued by them just by the menu they had alone.I enjoy the switch of different cookies each month. My family makes a visit monthly to try the different flavors they have to offer. They have always been awesome. The different flavors I've tried were amazing. Sometimes I'd buy and walk right back in to buy another because it was that good!It may not be for everyone but they are definitely great cookies if you have a sweet tooth. The classics are some of my favorites as well. The staff is always nice and helpful. I recommend them to anyone.Look forward to more!
