★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m giving them a 4… but it’s a very strong 4. The donuts were mostly excellent. Not a lot of variety left at 10am on a Saturday, but I expected that.We tried a few options. The stand out for me was a blueberry cake donut (SO good), and the raised donut holes were awesome. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the apple fritter, which I’ll have to try again sometime considering all the great reviews. All they had was chocolate iced ones left (have never seen chocolate icing on an apple fritter…. wwwhhhyyyy????).The did have a line out the door, and it moved very slowly. There was just one person working out front and she definitely wasn’t in much of a hurry. They also still had fresh donuts coming out while we were there, which I thought was kind of cool. One of ours was still warm. However she did put it in a bag with all the rest, so we had chocolate icing all over.5 donuts plus a dozen holes was only like $11.
August 02 · Sarah BignellI happened upon the Donut Hut after I found out our local bakery had closed. My son wanted to do donuts for his birthday and so I felt a local donut shop would be a great place to start. We found Donut Hut through Google Maps and made the drive to Little Canada. It was a weekday afternoon when we walked in. Two ladies were working and they were so friendly and happy to help. I personally am not a big donut eater so I relied heavily on their years of expertise to place our order. If you’re a first timer take a look around and you can tell this is a shop that has been around for quite awhile. They don’t need to impress people with a fancy interior. It is all about the donuts. There boxes piled to the ceiling prepped and ready for the next big day that clearly express that their donuts are loved. We showed up early Sunday morning to pick up our order of 2 dozen donuts. The parking lot was busy and the line was through the door. At this point, I realized how beloved this bakery is. We got our box of donuts and opened them in the car. Wow! The assortment was beautiful and the smell was grand. While I set the donuts up on a display for my son’s birthday I was in awe of the consistency of the product and how perfectly soft the raised donuts were. I couldn’t wait to share these with our birthday guests. Needless to say, many people had their first Donut from Donut Hut yesterday and I don’t think it will be their last.
April 07 · Jennifer BairThe best donuts ever! I grew up with Donut Hut, so I've always known how great they are. I recently brought a dozen donuts to my work from here, and everyone loved them! 🥰
June 11 · Devan RockDon’t be fooled by the small size of this donut shop. The first time I went there, the line was wrapped around the corner and for good reason. I highly recommend getting there early or during the week to have more choices. My go-tos are the raised donuts or maple cinnamon roll. They aren’t overly sweet or greasy and the prices are so reasonable. The older lady that is there every time I’ve been there is so nice.
August 22 · HollyHands down locally one of my favourite doughnut shops, make sure that you get there early in the morning because once they are gone they are gone. Everything is made fresh so that is definitely worth you getting up to get there early, a couple of recommendations are the Apple bear claws as well as the apple fritters. They are absolutely amazing! The staff there seems to know the community really well and the community seems to really support the store. As far as the Twin Cities goes I would definitely recommend if in Little Canada.
