What is Worth Choosing
For any user in Illinois, El Paraiso Bakery is particularly worth choosing for its exceptional blend of traditional baking and authentic, affordable Mexican meals. In a market saturated with generic chains, this local Cicero establishment offers a genuine, culturally rich experience. It’s an ideal choice for several reasons.
First, the bakery provides a crucial local service: genuine Mexican sweet bread (pan dulce). For many in the Cicero area, this is not just a treat but a cultural necessity, and El Paraiso consistently delivers highly-rated, competitively priced products in this category. For those new to the cuisine, their selection is a perfect entry point into the world of authentic Mexican baking.
Second, the extended menu transforms the bakery into a go-to spot for an entire meal. Where else can you grab a morning coffee and a fresh pastry, and then return later in the day for a full Char Broiled Skirt Steak dinner or a couple of satisfying street-style tacos? The ability to provide both quick service items and substantive, traditional 'Platillos' under one roof makes it incredibly versatile and valuable to the busy local population.
Finally, the commitment to modern convenience, from accepting NFC mobile payments to structuring the operations for a "Quick visit," demonstrates a keen understanding of the modern Illinois customer. While the establishment strives for excellence in all areas, as one customer noted regarding a cake, the fact that they "thrive to make better cakes for a response" shows a business that is actively engaged and listening to its customers, a hallmark of a strong, community-focused local enterprise. Choosing El Paraiso Bakery means supporting a local business that offers deep cultural roots, convenience, and a menu that truly has something for everyone, all in the heart of Cicero, Illinois.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1BOUGHT A SMALL CAKE IT WAS GARBAGE WORST THAN THE ONE THEY SELL IN THE STORES. There is no need for a refund. We thrive to make better cakes for a response, which would have been more humble.
November 05 · Raul BarronI bought two jalapeno and cream cheese pastries recently. Absolutely delicious.
July 12 · Tony MuratoriI ordered a cake for my mom last year and when I went to pick it up they gave me whatever was in the fridge slapped a name I wanted. Really upset because I ordered a milk cake and when I got home wasn't even the cake I ordered. it was chocolate. gave this bakery another chance and ordered yesterday a cake and came to pick up today. The lady Christina was very rude to me. I told her I would pay today when I came to pick up the cake. When I got there she gave me whatever cake was in the fridge. and wanted to put the name on the curve the cake. I got mad because I told her the day before I wanted the name on the cake and it didn't even look like it was going to fit because it had a decoration already. Like she just gave me whatever cake was in the fridge. Her manager came and I explained to him what happened and he was the only one that was willing to fix the cake I ordered. All I was asking was for a name in the cake. Christina commented back and said that I didn't leave a deposit. Right in front of me. I was mad because I told her I would pay today! She never mentioned that I had to leave a deposit!? She also had agreed the day before. She was getting mad at me and being very rude! When I mentioned the incident about the cake I ordered for my mom Christina called me a liar! I really am upset the service Christina game me never plan going there again. I been going there since I was kid and now because of Christina I don't think about going there anymore. Hire a more friendly cashier the cakes and bread is good but the workers specifically christina needs to be worked on.
December 30 · Rose DonatoHonestly hands down the best cake i have ever had .I ordered a cake from them for my moms birthday and it was amazing! I cant thank you guys enough for such a wonderful cake.Staff was super nice also. If your looking to order a cake i highly recommend this place!
October 10 · Alejandra SoteloThe best conchas I've ever tried. Make sure to get the smaller conchas because they have the regular big sized conchas and a smaller version. They're amazing because they use a different dough for the smaller ones. Every time we go, we buy like 20.Las mejores conchas que he probado. Asegurese de comprar las conchas mas pequenas por que tienen dos, las regulares grandres y las mas pequenas.
