Esquisito Bakery - Plaza Fiesta S 1023A Introduce
For many residents across Metro Atlanta and particularly in the vibrant community surrounding Buford Highway, Esquisito Bakery is far more than just a place to buy sweets—it is a cherished cultural cornerstone. Located within the bustling Plaza Fiesta market, Esquisito Bakery is renowned as Atlanta’s traditional homemade Latin bakery, bringing the authentic tastes of Latin America right here to Georgia.
Since 2011, Esquisito Bakery has been dedicated to serving the Metro Atlanta community, striving to be the place where food connects people to their cultural roots and allows them to share the taste of tradition with everyone. It is a true taste of home for many, and an exciting culinary discovery for others. The bakery specializes in a wide array of baked goods, from everyday sweet breads to spectacular custom cakes, each crafted with heart and soul to create lasting memories in every bite.
When Georgia users are seeking authentic, traditional Latino bakery items, the search often leads them directly to Plaza Fiesta. Here, Esquisito Bakery provides a dazzling selection of pan dulces (sweet breads), seasonal treats like roscas de canela, and beautiful birthday cakes for all celebrations. The environment inside the bakery is typically characterized by a vibrant display of colorful pastries that truly capture the festive and rich culinary heritage of Latin America. Customers often report that the sheer variety available is a reason to make Esquisito a regular stop, even leading one customer to proclaim they would become a regular at the shopping mall just because of the bakery.
However, as with any busy bakery specializing in volume and tradition, patrons should note that the quality and freshness of individual items can sometimes vary, as evidenced by a review citing a "dry" vanilla concha. This feedback underscores the importance of seeking out the high-turnover specialties and perhaps inquiring about the freshest batches upon arrival. Despite occasional inconsistencies, the bakery’s loyal customer base and its central role in the Buford Highway food scene affirm its overall value and contribution to Atlanta’s diverse food landscape.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Stopped by today to purchase a vanilla concha and it was SO DRY. The texture was as if it was 3-4 days old - very stiff and like cardboard. It’s a shame because the flavor was fine. It was just not fresh at all. I cannot believe they have the nerve to charge people good money for stale bread. The coffee was also very underwhelming.
August 15 · Louise MateosFirst time coming to this shopping mall and will be a regular just because of this bakery. Cannot tell you want I got as I don’t know but it looked and tasted great! Wanted to go back for another but alas on a diet 😭
November 09 · AngieWe bought a cake but it tasted rancid. Staff tasted cake and according to them it was fresh & good. I asked to speak to manager or supervisor but staff said we weren’t able to. Staff wasn’t helpful at all.
June 22 · Michelle MoralesIllana Is absolutely the sweetest and so helpful and patient. Help me discover Gansito, which is now a favorite ice cream. I'll definitely be back for Gansito and other flavors. My partner also loved his his butter pecan ice cream. Ate it all before I could even think of taken a photo. 😊
July 22 · Sade CarterEverything is amazing! The staff is very accommodating even for non-spanish-speaking customers. Wonderful service, timely preparation of my order, and I have every plan to return here again soon. In the future! Five stars all the way around
