Franz Bakery Introduce
In the vast and essential network of food production that keeps Southern California moving, specialized facilities dedicated to large-scale baking play an undeniable and critical role. One such key operation is Franz Bakery, situated in a vital area of Los Angeles. As a recognizable name within the baking industry, Franz Bakery’s presence in Los Angeles is focused on the large-scale creation and distribution of baked products, ensuring that grocery shelves and local restaurants across the region are consistently stocked. For Californians, a steady supply of fresh, reliable baked goods is a staple, and facilities like this one are the engine that maintains that supply chain.
The identity of this specific establishment is simply defined as a Bakery. However, given the context of its corporate scale and location, it is clear that this is a major production and logistical hub rather than a traditional retail storefront. This functional distinction is important for local users to understand: while a small neighborhood bakery focuses on individual customer sales, a corporate entity like Franz Bakery focuses on mass production, quality control, and widespread distribution. Its operation is dedicated to providing high volumes of consistently quality products that meet the rigorous standards expected by millions of consumers throughout the state.
The overview of this location reveals a focus on operational efficiency and necessary infrastructure to handle the complexities of a large-scale food manufacturing business in a major metropolitan area. From accessibility considerations to managing the continuous flow of transport necessary for widespread distribution, the Los Angeles facility on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard is designed to support a significant portion of the region's baked goods demand. For those interested in the logistics and backbone of their food supply, this location represents an important piece of the Southern California food manufacturing puzzle.
Understanding the physical location and its accessibility features is essential for anyone who interacts with the Franz Bakery site, whether as a vendor, service provider, or visitor. The facility is located at 457 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90011, USA. This address places it within a dynamic and commercially significant corridor of Los Angeles, near major thoroughfares crucial for regional logistics and transportation. Its presence on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard highlights its established roots within the city's commercial and industrial structure.
For a large-scale operational site, Accessibility is a critical consideration, and Franz Bakery demonstrates a commitment to ensuring ease of entry for all individuals. The facility features a Wheelchair accessible entrance, ensuring that all visitors, whether they are employees, business partners, or service personnel, can navigate the building’s points of access safely and comfortably. This commitment to universal access is a baseline expectation for major corporations operating in California.
Furthermore, the location also provides a Wheelchair accessible parking lot. This feature is particularly important for an industrial site where large vehicle traffic is common, as it ensures dedicated, safe, and easily reachable parking spaces for those with mobility challenges. This comprehensive approach to accessibility reflects a professional standard of corporate responsibility.
It is important to note that, as an industrial site, navigating the surrounding streets requires attention, particularly for large commercial vehicles making deliveries or pickups. The logistics of operating a major distribution hub in a dense urban setting mean that drivers and visitors should follow specific instructions to ensure smooth access, often involving avoiding certain streets and utilizing dedicated entry points like Mettler Street. This logistical detail, while primarily relevant to large carriers, underscores the site's function as a significant hub for inbound ingredients and outbound finished products, all feeding the larger regional market.
Services Offered
The information available for Franz Bakery’s Los Angeles location does not explicitly list retail services or direct customer sales options. The available data indicates an operational focus rather than a traditional storefront model, which is common for major corporate bakery facilities.
Based on the established context of this type of operation, the primary service function of this site is inferred to be:
- Wholesale Production and Regional Distribution: The core activity involves manufacturing a high volume of baked products for wholesale distribution. This means the bakery serves supermarkets, institutional kitchens, and other retailers throughout Southern California, rather than selling individual items directly to the public from this location. The site is a key logistical node, receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods.
It is advised that local users interested in purchasing Franz products should visit their local grocery stores or retailers, as this facility’s primary role is supply chain management for the broader California marketplace.

For a corporate bakery of this size, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment, from production areas to employee facilities, is a non-negotiable component of their commitment to public health and consumer trust. While operational challenges in maintaining facility cleanliness can arise in any large industrial environment, the corporate structure mandates that all necessary corrective actions and daily cleaning procedures be strictly adhered to and enforced to meet or exceed health department standards. Customers choosing Franz products should expect that the business is continuously striving for and upholding these rigorous hygiene and quality assurance protocols, as is expected of any major food supplier.
Furthermore, the accessibility features of the Los Angeles location underscore the company’s adherence to modern standards, ensuring that their industrial site is open and manageable for all partners and employees. The strategic location and professional handling of logistics, as evidenced by the need to manage large-scale truck deliveries efficiently, ultimately benefits the California consumer by ensuring products are moved and delivered swiftly, minimizing time between baking and shelving. In essence, choosing Franz Bakery means choosing a long-standing partner in the food supply chain, one whose operational presence in Los Angeles is key to the seamless distribution of baked goods throughout the Golden State.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1(For tanker drivers)If you're delivering to Franz, be sure to come down Mettler St from San Pedro St, because your GPS will tell you to take Avalon, that's where the box trucks go. I used an address up the street called Grizzly Studios to take me the right way just in case I had a blonde moment. Warning, if you take Avalon, you'll end up at MLK and turning into Mettler going north, you'll be blindsided to the gate, just making it even harder for yourself. The security and everyone here are great and straight to the point. If you're having trouble backing in which I did due to there being a truck and a car on both sides of the entrance, ask the guard to open the gate to the parking lot across the street, it will give you all the room you need (she has a little remote for it lol). Overall, not a bad delivery, just a little challenging due to having to back in from the street, but at least it's not a busy block.
January 21 · Joswun ScientifikAbsolutely disgusting.Went in to do service in the building I witness a food worker go into the men bathroom in front of me, he used the urinal and immediately walked out, didn't even hesitate to think about washing his hands. This is the men's bathroom in the rear near the guard shack. Soap dispensers were just about out of soap I had to try both, bathroom overall was a nasty mess. Smelly and dirty. Can easily tell they are not cleaned daily. Don't know what kind of business they conduct but they are very unsanitary for being a corporate bakery.Would advise to stay away from their products.
