Gaby bakery Introduce
For Texans who appreciate the warmth of a small business and the rich, comforting flavors of Latin American baking, Gaby Bakery in Carrollton offers a truly authentic experience. Tucked away in a small, unassuming shopping strip on Old Denton Road, this small, Latino-owned business is a hidden gem that has quickly become a favorite destination for those seeking fresh, high-quality Venezuelan and other international pastries and breads.
The moment you approach Gaby Bakery, you are met with an irresistible sensory experience. As one customer enthusiastically described, "The smell, the bread, the service!" The aroma alone is enough to draw in passersby, hinting at the delicious, freshly baked goods awaiting inside. The bakery’s atmosphere is one of humble dedication, focusing entirely on the craft of baking. It prides itself on delivering variety, ensuring there is truly "a little bit of everything for everyone."
Gaby Bakery’s specialty lies in its focus on authentic Latin American baking techniques, offering staples like the affordable Pan Frances and the luxurious, flavored breads such as guava bread and caramel bread. Whether you are looking for a simple, daily loaf or a unique, richly flavored pastry for a weekend treat, Gaby Bakery delivers flavor and freshness with every item. The business proudly identifies as a Latino-owned small enterprise, and supporting it means investing directly into the diverse culinary fabric of the DFW community.
However, it is crucial for potential patrons to note that as a small business focused on its craft, there may be limitations regarding accessibility and service interactions. One customer review highlighted a challenging experience regarding accessibility, specifically concerning the entrance for a person using a wheelchair, and difficulty with communication during peak times. While the passion for baking and the quality of the products are evident, customers should be aware of these potential limitations when planning their visit, especially those requiring specific accessibility features or prompt service outside of standard in-store transactions.
Despite occasional service hiccups—which are common challenges for small, busy, family-run establishments—the quality of the bread and the unique, authentic menu keep customers coming back, cementing Gaby Bakery’s reputation as a valuable source of delicious Latin American baked goods in North Texas.

What is Worth Choosing
For Texans in the Carrollton area, choosing Gaby Bakery is a deliberate choice to support a dedicated small, Latino-owned business that specializes in providing authentic and high-quality baked goods unavailable at larger chain bakeries. It is worth choosing for several compelling reasons centered on flavor and community.
First, the Authenticity of Flavor is unmatched. If you are seeking genuine Venezuelan and Latin American breads, Gaby Bakery is the local specialist. The rich, sweet profile of the guava bread or the savory surprise of a cachito provides a truly unique and memorable culinary experience that broadens the DFW food landscape. Customers note that the quality of "the bread" itself is a major draw—fresh, aromatic, and perfectly baked every day.
Second, the bakery offers Exceptional Value for Specialty Items. While you can pick up an essential like Pan Frances for under a dollar, you can also indulge in a loaf of guava bread or caramel bread—specialty items that feel luxurious but remain affordably priced for a small-batch, artisanal bakery. This makes it an ideal place to pick up an impressive dessert or treat without the high cost of a large commercial bakery.
Finally, by choosing Gaby Bakery, you are directly Supporting Local Entrepreneurship. As a Latino-owned small business, your patronage helps sustain a vital part of the Carrollton community and its cultural diversity. While customers should be mindful of the operational limitations of a small business—such as potentially limited accessibility features and a high volume of in-store traffic that can make phone inquiries difficult—the reward is truly authentic, incredible-smelling, and delicious baked goods that will elevate any morning or gathering. For a taste of Latin America right on Old Denton Road, Gaby Bakery is the place to be.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The smell, the bread, the service! Tucked in a corner of an unassuming small shopping strip in Carrollton you’ll find this Venezuelan bakery. There’s French baguettes (“bolillos” for some) and guava infused pastries for the kiddos. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone!
June 04 · John ValadezI would've liked to try it but the woman at the counter didn't open the door when she saw me. The other person inside didn't either. 🤷🏾♀️ I don't like to think negatively of businesses. I figured maybe they didn't notice that I am in a wheelchair, and that's why I couldn't enter their establishment. I called twice but received no answer. I love supporting small businesses, especially Venezuelan ones in my community, but I won't be back.
September 02 · Court RExcellent place to enjoy the best bread, my favorite is the quesadilla. There's no doubt this is the best bakery.
July 14 · Dariana BrachoI popped in bc the people at the pharmacy said they got a piece of cake from here that was good… now I wonder if I misheard them and they said “looks good”, as in they had not eaten it yet. The place smells like fresh bread: amazing, the young man who came up from the back to help me was kind and attentive, the teeny store front (standing room enough for maybe 4 people to look in the 2 cases and a shelf or 2 of packaged food items you’d see at a specialty grocery) was clean and well organized. The options were extremely limited aside from their bread which I didn’t try. Taking up 1 case I saw maybe 10 different kinds from rolls to loaves. But I was there for sweets.. there were 2 kinds of cake: it was sold as prepackaged slices in a clamshell type of to go container for $9 per slice. $9 per slice is STEEP but if it’s great then I’m ok with the splurge. I chose the chocolate caramel. I also got a can (size of a can of cashews) of what looks like coco rolls with hazelnut filling, not made in house, for $6.25. Those are fine, not as great as Nutella filled anything but not bad at all. The cake slice however was terrible. I actually took 2 bites and threw it out. Dry, dense, almost hard, nearly flavorless. It tasted like it was 5 days old and wasn’t great when freshly made. An entire cake of this would not be worth $9. Definitely NOT the place to go for pop in and out sweet treat. Maybe their bread is fantastic? Maybe their custom cake orders are? I’ll never know because that piece of cake was so not good that I won’t be going back ever.
July 23 · Joanna BellomyExcellent!!! Products made with love and quality. Everything we tried was truly delicious and fresh!
