★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been following their journey for a while now--completely obsessed with their creatively shaped macarons! This shop is such a gem, offering classic bakery staples, delicious macarons, and fun, bakery-themed items. I especially love their "kindness coupons"--such a thoughtful gesture for anyone who could use a little treat.I attended one of their macaron classes, and while I don't know what their kitchen looked like before, it had been fully transformed into a student-friendly workspace with stations set up for each group. After signing in, you're directed to your station and handed an apron. The spots are semi-assigned--if you booked with a friend or a small group, Kasey does a great job placing you together.Everything you need is laid out and ready to go. Kasey walks you through the whole process, checking in along the way and sharing helpful tips she's picked up throughout her macaron-making journey. You and your partner split the batter, but you each get to do your own mixing, choose your colors, and pipe your own shells, which makes it a really hands-on experience. While the macarons are baking, you're treated to sweet bites like brownies or crispy rice treats. Once the macarons have cooled, you fill, package, and--of course--sneak a few tastes along the way. The whole class is so fun, approachable, and well-paced. Afterward, you even get the chance to take home some bakery goodies at a discount!I absolutely love their bakery items, and the class was such a blast. Can't wait to go back!
April 15 · Anna RI started playing around with sourdough in 2021 but still learned loads of new tips and tricks at the Batter & Mac sourdough class. They have an awesome variety of classes for both adults and kids.I'd love to get my kids to one of those classes where they prep dinner and bring it home for the family. 😂
April 24 · Postcard Narrative Family TravelOh man I wanted to love this place so bad and I was so excited to visit but when I walked in the store it's empty of any customers but it's cute and I was greeted. It was 11:00 a.m. and all they had were Donuts, no other treats and not one macaroon for sale or available which is okay but then they didn't have any other dessert options besides your standard vanilla/chocolate donuts. I purchased two donuts that you could probably find better at any grocery store they were dry and not creative flavors. Honestly one of the most disappointing bakeries ever. Really got excited by reviews but would not return.
July 25 · Haley KvaasFirst time visiting as I saw a lot of good reviews about this place. I saw on Facebook a post about their Creme Puffs. My husband and I went there and asked for two creme puffs. They were $5 each and we took them to go. We also bought a donut and a Biscoff cookie. The cookie was amazing!! The staff was very friendly and nice. However, the creme puff left much to be desired. The choux pastry was rock hard like it was either overcooked or sat out for days. The creme was really good, there just wasn't enough of it. I'm really rooting for this business because I love what they stand for, unfortunately, the creme puff was a disappointment and not worth the $5. For reference, the creme puffs we received versus the advertisement on their Facebook page.
August 04 · Jessica FarnanI'm only taking 1 star off due to some of the prices. There was a bit of sticker shock when it came to a few of the goods, however- I don't frequent bakeries much so perhaps that's the going rate these days.We did snatch up some macaroons that were divine! Macaroons are a tedious thing to master, but these ladies nailed it! I highly suggest the pistachio ::chefs kiss::The service was friendly! The one lady and I struck up a friendly, and funny, conversation and I left with a smile on my face, and a chuckle in my belly. The decor is modern which I appreciate. You don't get that "and old person owns this" vibe when you walk in. While the nostalgia is nice in bakeries that have been around for a long time and owned by generations of families, I find it refreshing to walk into a bakery and feel it's more aimed at a modern feel.Overall - good experience! It's a nice little addition to our town! Yes, there was a bit of sticker shock on some goods, but I want to note, again, that I don't do bakeries much, so maybe that's the norm. The last time I bought a sandwich from a bakery, Usher just came out with his first song. And if you don't know who Usher is, let's just say that was a loooong time ago.
