Gina Marie Bakery Introduce
Gina Marie Bakery is a company with a presence in the Connecticut food scene, with its base of operations located in Waterbury. While many local bakeries operate as retail storefronts, Gina Marie Bakery appears to have a model that includes distributing its products through other establishments, such as local supermarkets. This approach makes their baked goods accessible to a wider audience, as customers can find their products in various locations beyond their primary address. This article aims to provide an overview of the bakery based on available public data and consumer experiences, offering insight into their products and business practices for those in the Connecticut region.
The feedback on Gina Marie Bakery's products is varied, as seen in customer reviews. One customer, who purchased cookies from a Big Y supermarket in Naugatuck, expressed disappointment with the taste and ingredients. The review highlights that the cookies, which were expected to be a "rich buttery treat," were made with "artificial butter flavor, and emulsified soybean oil" instead of real butter. This experience led the customer to feel that the product was "just 'OK'" and not what they were hoping for. Another customer, also purchasing from a Big Y, had a negative experience with "angel wings" that they described as having a "rancid" and "very off taste." The customer noted that the products seemed stale, despite a date printed on the package. These reviews suggest that customers may have varying experiences with the products, particularly when purchased through a third-party retailer, and that the ingredients used may not align with some consumers' expectations for a traditional bakery item.
For residents of Waterbury and surrounding areas, understanding the business model of Gina Marie Bakery is important. The company's products are not exclusively sold at their Fairfield Avenue location, but also appear to be distributed through local grocery chains. This means that a customer's experience may be influenced by the point of sale, including factors such as product freshness and handling at the supermarket level. This distribution model offers convenience to customers who frequent these stores, but as the reviews indicate, it can also lead to inconsistent experiences.
Gina Marie Bakery is located at 289 Fairfield Ave, Waterbury, CT 06708, USA. This address places the bakery in a part of Waterbury that is accessible to residents of the city and its neighboring towns. The location on Fairfield Avenue makes it a simple destination to find, particularly for those familiar with the local street layout.
While the bakery's main address is in Waterbury, its products are also found in other locations, as evidenced by a review mentioning a purchase at a Big Y in Naugatuck. This distribution strategy expands the bakery’s reach and makes its goods accessible to a wider population within Connecticut. For a customer, this means they might not need to travel to the Waterbury location to try the products, but can instead look for them at local supermarkets. This decentralized accessibility is a key aspect of the bakery’s business model.
For customers who prefer to interact directly with the bakery, visiting the Fairfield Avenue location would be the primary option. However, for those who value convenience and shop at large grocery chains, the ability to find Gina Marie Bakery products on the shelves of stores like Big Y offers an alternative way to purchase their items. This dual presence, both as a local Waterbury establishment and a brand distributed in supermarkets, defines the bakery’s accessibility for Connecticut users.

This is a distinguishing feature that may be important to customers who prioritize specific ingredients in their baked goods.
- Pricing: Pricing is another feature, with a customer noting that a package of cookies was $7.99 and a package of angel wings was $8.99. This pricing may be a factor for consumers when comparing products.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Never been to the bakery, my wife purchases these cookies, probably at Big Y in Naugatuck. Sticker sais she paid $7.99 for this package, I will tell you they were just "OK". Trying to figure out what is missing or just not right with the taste, and I see the ingredient list and nowhere in there does it say butter? It sais, "artificial butter flavor, and emulsified soybean oil!" Yuk, that's what's wrong, at least put some butter in these cookies! I'm not one for a bad review, but just disappointed with what I have here 😕. I'm not sure if it's 2 for $7.99, but regardless didnt like them. Was thinking it was going to be a rich buttery treat with my fresh brewed cup of coffee, no...... it was not that.
October 26 · Alfonso DemagistrisStopped in big y to pick up some angel wings for Thanksgiving, put them on the table, there were some left that evening so decided to have one, tasted rancid. I called some of the other people that were there and they said had a very off taste. Besides being embarrassed, they were 8.99. Must have been stale with a 9/25 date? Anyway big y is refunding my money.
November 30 · Dorine DelpoThe cupcakes tasted yummy but they were tiny and they were twice the price! Really ought to probably warn people before they order cupcakes if you're going to cut the size in half or double the price without warning.Staff was friendly but Gina herself was grumpy and irritable and hard to work with. Sorry probably won't be back.
April 11 · Res RehabberOMG it took me years to find a bakery that makes Struffoli like my mom used to and that is a high bar. Fantastic!
December 21 · Sal DeFiniThey make the best taralli! And they make many different varieties of taralli. My favorite are the ones with fennel. But they also have red pepper, pepper. There are so many varieties I can't remember them all. Some have a sugar frosting. I eat them like that but they go great with a beer or a glass of wine. And they go even better while watching the New York Yankees or the St. Louis Cardinals play ball!!!!!
