What is Worth Choosing
For any Californian looking for their next favorite local breakfast spot, Grande’s Goode is worth choosing for three key reasons: unbeatable value, menu variety, and exceptional business ethics.
In a high-cost area like Los Angeles, finding a place that offers an extensive, high-quality meal for a very reasonable price is a huge advantage. The ability to satisfy complex orders—specific donuts, multiple sandwiches, a large muffin, and a bagel—all at a great price, as evidenced by a customer's $35 breakfast haul, highlights the shop's excellent value proposition. This is a business that allows customers to be "picky" without having to "spend a lot."
The depth of the menu is a strong selling point. You can visit for a simple Glaze Donut, but also rely on them for a full breakfast or lunch thanks to their well-prepared, generous sandwiches. The Croissant Sandwiches, made with surprisingly high-quality ingredients like the savory, snappy kielbasa-style sausage, are a delicious upgrade from standard breakfast fare.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the bakery’s reputation for "Goode" & honest character is what secures its place as a community favorite. The decision to substitute a low-cost, impulse-buy donut with a higher-value, practical item like a coffee to ensure customer satisfaction is a clear sign of an ownership committed to fairness and loyalty. This commitment is why the shop has been around for so many years and why customers become lifelong loyal customers. By choosing Grande’s Goode, you're not just getting great food; you're supporting an upstanding local business that puts its customers first. Whether you’re looking for the best Old Fashioned donut you’ve ever had or a huge, satisfying breakfast, GO FOR IT!

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If you're on the fence GO FOR IT! This is a fantastic little place!! I ordered thru Uber Eats for breakfast this morning and we were thrilled! We were picky today. We wanted very specific donuts, particular croissant sandwiches, hot coffee, and my bf wanted a blueberry muffin and a plain-on-plain cream cheese bagel too. We also didn't want to spend a lot. After much searching, this was the only place that had everything we wanted, exactly how we wanted it, and at a really great price too (only $35 total!)But there wasn't much info online other than a couple reviews and very few menu photos... and I get burned ordering food online ALL the time... but it seemed like a long-standing community place, so we decided to risk it.Boy am I glad we did!! My Old Fashioned donut might've been the best one I've ever eaten! Tasted better than homemade! The croissant sandwiches were nice and big too. The sausage on mine was closer to a juicy split kielbasa with a snappy skin, not the plain ol' breakfast patty I was expecting. What an unexpected treat! I assume my bf's Ham, Bacon, Egg & Cheese croissant, cream cheese bagel, and enormous blueberry muffin were good too because by the time I was done fixing my coffee ALL of it was GONE! 🤣Seriously, that blueberry muffin was HUGE!! The muffin top was as big as my hand! He loved it very, very much 😋(P.S. my bf formerly requests a chocolate chip version! Please Mr. Muffin Man?)But wait! I saved the BEST part for last! This is literally what I loved the most about this place and the reason I had to write this review:Remember how I said I "always get burned ordering food"?Normally when this happens, I'm up a creek. I have to track down refunds, go without part of my meal, drive to the place to go yell at a manager... it's a drag. Usually happens because something's out of stock and they just leave it out and keep my money. I get it, sorta, but it's still really lame.Well, today was no different. I opened the bags, counted it up, and sure enough... I'm missing something 😓 But soon I realized what happened:I was missing a $1.75 donut... but I WAS GIVEN AN EXTRA $4 COFFEE INSTEAD!!They could've given me another random donut. They could've left me high & dry! BUT NO!! They gave me another coffee to ensure I got something I liked AND got my money's worth! 🙌🤯 Holy Cow! How cool is that!?!Plus, the missing donut was NOT one of the 2 specific donuts we were craving, it was the impulse buy, and the extra coffee worked out great bc we saved it to use as flavored creamer tomorrow. Win-Win![Side Note: the Mocha and French Vanilla coffee drink they have is thick and EXTRA sweet, possibly from a machine. I'm not mad about it, if you like sweet coffee you'll love it, but I cut it 50/50 with k-cup coffee]In summery, even though I didn't see the place in person, I think the way our order was treated today is a sign of good character. Whoever's running Grande's Goode is a "Goode" & honest person, who makes great food, and sells it at an extremely reasonable price. Now I understand why this place has been around for so many years and has lifelong loyal customers. As of today, consider me among them. I hope they continue serving for many more years to come.Cheers y'all & thanks for breakfast 🥂
July 17 · Marilyn “MinMaxie”Went on Valentine's Day. And had jelly style donut. Thought it was raspberry but it was strawberry. And I loved it.
February 24 · RubenSome of the best coffee! I’ve been coming here since I was a wee little lad! The staff is friendly and helpful! Sandwiches are fresh, made to order. Also vegetable/fruit juices (can create your own if you’d like) and ice blended drinks to go along with your ice cream 😅also lottery tickets are a big hit here you might win 😉
March 12 · Adam A. Z.The lottery tickets here sell like hot cakes. I hit for 40 on a two dollar ticket here. The store is packed with people buying tickets.
May 12 · Aegean SeaFast service despite how pack it usually is, friendly service, great food and donuts. If you don't like crowds I don't recommend eating in, Full of people buying lotto scratches.
