★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1House of bagels is the best! All the bagels are yummy, schmears are so good and the cragel is not to be missed. The nutella one - yum! They also have the elusive pumpernickel! The whole team is so nice and went above and beyond filling an order for me. Will only order from HOB.
September 27 · Dhyana ColonyI have been here many times since I was attending school nearby back in the day. I usually stop by here when I am in the area where I am in need of a quick bite. Upon arrival, you can smell the aroma that opens up your appetite even more. They have a great selection of bagels to choose from, I normally go for the Jalapeno cheddar one since it includes a bit of a kick and it’s freaking delicious. Everything is made to order here which is a plus for me and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. Also the staffs here are welcoming, well trained and understanding where I had never encountered an issue during any of my visits. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite, if you need something early to snack on or if you just so happen to be in the area. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.
September 15 · AlzilaHofB is still holding it down in SFO! I’ve been loading up on the regular at House of Bagels for 25 years now, and the love is real.I’m obsessed with their Everything bagel—but shoutout to the Corn bagel, which remains a unique and special favorite. I almost always grab a bialy to toast and butter later, if they haven’t sold out.The pastries? Ridiculously good. That danish I had was next-level, but my usual move is their caramel sticky bun, packed with walnuts. I take it home, warm it up in the microwave, and luxuriate in its sticky, buttery brilliance.Mad love.
May 21 · Lauren CaliforniaPretty decent bagels at House of Bagels. We love the different options. O man. Talk about options. That True New Yorker $13 was a gem. Cream cheese, salmon, capers, fresh tomato and red onions. The Morning Start $9 came with avocado, cheese and egg. It was delicious! We also got a few bagels for later. The only drawback was, later in the evening, they didn't taste as good because the bagels turned chewy and tough. All in all, it was a good experience standing on the sidewalk on Geary eating tasty bagels.
February 05 · Jeff HoStopped by House of Bagels in Richmond for a quick breakfast. Got there early, so there wasn't much of a wait, but be warned - the seating area is tiny! If you're planning on catching up with friends, this might not be the best spot. They have a good selection of bagels (everything, Asiago, blueberry, etc.). They also offer breakfast sandwiches, croissants, muffins, and some sweet pastries. You can customize your bagel or sandwich with a variety of cream cheeses, veggies, proteins, and other toppings. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Asiago bagel with lox, cream cheese, and capers. The bagel itself was a bit on the dense side, and the Asiago flavor was a little muted - I was hoping for a stronger cheesy punch. The lox and cream cheese were good, but overall, the price felt a bit high for what I got.Overall, House of Bagels is alright. If you're in the neighborhood and need a quick bagel fix, it'll do the trick. But with the limited seating and slightly higher prices, I'd probably try another spot next time.
