I am so unbelievably frustrated and disappointed with the service I was given, or lack thereof. If it weren't for Kevin in the deli, at State St. store, I would have taken my business elsewhere. I already ordered over $100 worth of food trays from Kevin in the deli and I did not want to go different places to get my cupcakes, so I kept trying to get someone in the Bakery. on 9/9 called spoke with M. (apparently new hire) who could not answer any of my questions, had no idea what flavors you offered in cupcakes, said she was working alone and told me to call back 9/10 ask for Tracy or Rhonda. Called 9/10 spoke with Tracy who was supposed to be a bakery mgr. Tracy would not listen to me, interrupted me at least 3 times, did not hear me say my event wasn't until next week, cut me off to say they aren't taking any more orders til after Saturday. If she would have allowed me to finish my sentence, she would have realized I do not need the cupcakes until next week, well after Saturday. I was so offended I said never mind. Tried calling Kroger on C'town Rd, on 9/10, but the bakery dept would not answer the phone. Bakery Ctown Rd, still nobody answered. the front desk put me on hold 4 times without checking with me first to see if I wanted to continue holding, each time it rolled back from bakery they immediately put me on hold and paged the bakery who was not answering. I hung up and tried again an hour later, still same problem, no answer. Still on 9/10, I called back to State St. and asked for Store Mgr. I was told the store mgr. was Robin and "she" was not available. I was told call back on 9/11 in the afternoon. I called on 9/11 p.m. and asked for Robin, I was told the store mgr was in meetings all day long and not available to speak with anyone, I was told the store mgr name is Rob, not Robin, and was a male, not female. I think someone has been lying to me. Furthermore, I was told that Rob was on vacation starting tomorrow and unavailable until next week. Assistant Mgr Kristen agreed to take my cupcake order, but she was not the friendliest person either, nor did she apologize for all the poor service and rude behavior and inaccurate information I had been given. Nobody except for Kevin seems to understand the concept of customer service. I left a msg with Kristen for the store manager, Rob, to return my call when he is available. We will see if he calls me back. After all my orders were placed, I spent $155 before tax. This store does not deserve my order. Next time I will go elsewhere. Also, I tried calling the toll-free customer service line but you get people in central america, not the united states, and it is so difficult to understand them because their accent is different from ours. Why is Kroger outsourcing customer service overseas? I finally got a rep in the U.S., but our call was disconnected, and her name was Christine but she never bothered to call me back, even though she confirmed my full name and phone # and claimed to have my account pulled up. Where is the customer service, Kroger? It does no good to complete a survey, whenever I ask for someone to call me about my complaint, I never get a response. Kroger apparently does not care. *Update: spoke with Ainsley on 9/18 left another msg for Rob. as of 9/27 the store mgr never called me back.
