What is Worth Choosing
For North Carolina locals, choosing LA SABROSITA OF WINSTON SALEM is an investment in authenticity, value, and local culture. This bakery fills a vital niche in the Winston-Salem food landscape by providing high-quality, authentic Latin American pastries that are often difficult to find elsewhere. The value is undeniable; the prices are some of the most budget-friendly in the region for handcrafted, specialty goods, allowing families and students to enjoy a wide variety of treats without overspending. It’s an ideal choice for quick, affordable pleasure, whether you are picking up a Bolillo for a homemade sandwich, a sweet Concha with your morning coffee, or a whole Tres Leches cake for a major family event.
However, as with any high-volume bakery, customers in North Carolina should be mindful of the "freshness" factor, especially when it comes to certain specialty items that are best enjoyed shortly after baking. While some customers enthusiastically report that "everything was fresh, and absolutely delicious," others have noted issues with the perceived age of certain items like donuts and croissants—suggesting the "bread" base for some traditional pastries might differ from standard American expectations. The best strategy for a North Carolina customer is to inquire about the freshest items of the day or to focus on their renowned specialties, particularly the rich cakes (like the Chocoflan) and the various Pan Dulce, which are the heart of a great panadería. By prioritizing the bakery's unique and most popular offerings, customers are sure to enjoy the delightful, authentic, and inexpensive flavors that LA SABROSITA OF WINSTON SALEM brings to the local North Carolina community. This location is truly a cultural and culinary asset, offering both a taste of home for many and a delicious journey for all.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently stopped in for the first time, and picked up a variety of pastries. Everything was fresh, and absolutely delicious. The woman working there was really nice, and you can't beat the prices. Will definitely return.
March 19 · Cathy GWe're here to get some donuts and/or sweets. So we got a sample of a bunch of different things. Everything tasted like it was a day or two old. The croissants are not croissants at all. The actual donuts tasted like plain bread in the shape of a donut with sugar sprinkled on top of it. It's regular bread in the shape of a croissant and it was old. We will not be revisiting ever.
