---What is Worth Choosing Le Dix-Sept Pâtisserie
Choosing Le Dix-Sept Pâtisserie provides a distinct experience that separates it from the more traditional or well-known bakeries in the **California** Bay Area. It is an excellent choice for a specific kind of consumer.
The primary reason to visit Le Dix-Sept is for its **commitment to unique and complex flavor profiles** in both its baked goods and, especially, its beverage menu. While staples like the **cannelé** provide a familiar French foundation, the adventurous options, such as the **calamansi almond tart** and the array of "Dream" lattes and **Chaga Matcha**, appeal directly to the sophisticated and experimental palate of the modern **San Francisco** foodie. It offers something different from the standard fare, making it a great discovery spot.
Furthermore, the establishment excels as a convenient and pleasant destination for a quick, casual treat. The focus on **Takeout** and the appealing outdoor **Onsite services** make it a perfect local spot for grabbing a quick **Breakfast** or afternoon indulgence without the commitment of indoor dining. The ability to grab a perfectly flavored **Rose Dream** latte and a unique pastry makes for a refined, yet efficient, stop.
It is worth noting that while some customer feedback suggests that the price point is higher than competitors and that the traditional baked goods may not meet everyone's expectations compared to established giants (a testament to the high standards of the **Bay Area** bakery scene), the bakery's friendly staff, cute presentation, and unique specialty drinks offer a compelling reason to try it out, especially for those in the neighborhood or those specifically seeking the less common, inventive beverage options. For a truly unique and artisanal sweet and coffee pairing, Le Dix-Sept Pâtisserie is a vibrant local choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cute tiny bakery with a handful of small tables for outdoor seating. Known for the cannelé, which is fine, but small, pricy (~$5), and fairly boring flavorwise. Other pastries are similarly decent but not amazing, with a few unusual flavors like calamansi almond tart. Also serves coffee, does not have bread. No line at noon on a Saturday. Fine to try if you're in the neighborhood, but there are other, better bakeries in SF.
June 07 · Kate CSorry to leave a mediocre review but unfortunately this bakery just doesn’t hit the mark for me. It’s really a shame since we are walking distance and were super excited to have a new bakery to go to, but most likely will continue to go to our tried and true places even if they are farther and not walking distance (top favorites tartine, ariscault, Jane’s). Their prices were even steeper than those aforementioned bakeries which I think justify higher prices. We got the savory scone which was more of a bread consistency than scone and was sweet as well, I suspect there was use of quite some sugar, and the breakfast bread which was also sweet and was pricey for the small size. Of course each item was labeled with price so it’s not as though we didn’t know the price before purchasing, but the surprise was that the baked goods did not meet our bar for exemplary bakery so the extra high prices were for sure not worth it. Also, I didn’t even feel like trying the $10 ones simply because I was pretty sure that even though they looked delicious, there was no way they would taste yummy enough to justify the $10 price. The chagamatcha was flavorful but again, a small cup for $8 which is more like a $10 beverage after tax and tip. Never again. The display case itself was cute. There is no indoor seating, just the ordering counter, but there were several tables and chairs on the sidewalk or concrete benches. Staff was friendly though on slower side, line moved quite slowly to the point that someone commented that they are definitely a new business and haven’t ramped up yet.
May 31 · Christine ChaoThey don’t have a proper Italian espresso coffee machine???? I literally saw the employee using a home milk frother to froth the milk.. they also pour the coffee from a jar… that would take forever if you have more than 2 customers waiting in line… I waited like 10 mins for my coffee… I’m just very surprised how they wouldn’t invest in such a basic equipment. Especially I’m paying $8 for a cup of latte. The coffee’s flavor was good. But the inefficiency was insane. The pastry was also very mid….
