Lepage Bakery - Cedar Street Introduce
For those of us living in Maine, especially in the Lewiston area, the name Lepage Bakery holds a certain familiarity. The facility on Cedar Street isn't your typical neighborhood spot where you pop in for a quick pastry and a coffee. Instead, Lepage Bakery - Cedar Street operates as a significant industrial production site, playing a crucial role in the large-scale manufacturing and distribution of baked goods. It's a place focused on the wholesale production of a wide array of bread and other baked items, rather than a direct-to-consumer retail outlet. Understanding this distinction is key to appreciating its function within our local economy and the broader supply chain.
This facility is part of a larger network, contributing to the availability of packaged bakery goods found in grocery stores and markets across our state and beyond. It’s a major player in the food manufacturing sector, utilizing sophisticated processes to produce goods at a high volume. While many of us might associate "bakery" with small, artisanal shops, Lepage Bakery - Cedar Street represents the industrial scale of baking, employing numerous individuals and operating robust production lines. It's a testament to the manufacturing capabilities right here in Lewiston, showcasing the power of large-scale production in meeting widespread consumer demand for daily staples like bread.
The Cedar Street location is a hub for logistics, handling the incoming raw materials and the outgoing finished products that make their way to various distributors and retailers. It's a vital component of the infrastructure that keeps our store shelves stocked with familiar brands.

For locals in Maine, particularly those in the Lewiston area, understanding the function of Lepage Bakery - Cedar Street is about recognizing its role as a major industrial facility rather than a typical community bakery. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Slowest Shipper We've Ever Dealt With – Total Disrespect for Driver Time !Absolutely terrible experience with this shipper. My drivers arrived on time at 12PM, and what followed was a complete disaster. The facility moved at a snail’s pace, barely managing to load one pallet per hour — if they were lucky. No sense of urgency, no communication, and no respect for carrier time whatsoever. One driver wasn’t finished until 8:00PM, and the other was stuck there until 1:30 in the morning. That’s over 13 hours wasted because this place operates like it’s the 1800s.If you care about your drivers, your equipment, or your schedule, avoid this shipper at all costs. Inefficient, unprofessional, and a complete black hole for productivity. We will be refusing all future loads from this location.
May 20 · Ali AliThe factory management and corporate executives are some of the most nepotistic and discriminatory people I have ever seen in my life. The workers are fine. A fish rots from the head.
January 28 · Chuck MaloneThis is how the city of Lewiston gets rats and it becomes an issue where people end up with rats in buildings because country Kitchen which is now LePage bakery can't seem to make sure that the outside of the building doesn't look like this and this is just one spot I didn't take a picture of what was on the other side of that machine 5 ft away and all the way down the road it's loaves of bread and yeast just all up and down the road in mounds excuse my lack of punctuation
September 28 · Silver LiningsShipper is very nice and unload me very fast.Unload dock is back of the building.
October 16 · Arsh BhanguI'm a truck driver, DELIVERING product here, so my experience is not as a Shopper. But from the perspective of a truck driver I would highly recommend this place as a good place to deliver to. Very little wait time. And the thrift store is right next door if they are open.
