January 19 · Gary AndreMy family and I grew up on Lous sweet bread. We’ve tried many different sweet breads over the years but none have come even close to tasting as good as Lous does.
March 04 · Monica F.My father had a furniture refinishing shop not far from Lou’s for many years and my fondest memory is of my mother coming into the shop after picking up Lou’s warm sweetbreads in the morning. We would tear into them like wild animals. I’ve tried them all but Lou’s is TOPS.
January 14 · X XThe reviews are right - my hobby is looking for good Portuguese sweet bread, and this place is AMAZING! Went on a Saturday at 11am and they were sold out, but the very nice lady said I could put in an order for the next day. So I did, and went at 7:45am just in case (they still had some large and 1 small left, no mediums) and it is AMAZING!On the same trip, I compared to ?Amaral's and Silver Star in providence. Lou's wins, hands down! So fresh, not at all crumbly. Will be taking a couple of rounds home, to see if it freezes well.
April 21 · jen koIf you haven't tried their sweet bread... you are missing out! There's a reason why people line up at 4 AM just get some of that bread during the days leading up to Easter. It's so good.
