★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Empanada BlissMilohas is a bakery GEM 💎Located in an unassuming strip mall by Pet Mart, Milohas is a complete bakery serving sweet and savory pasties as well as hot and cold drinksI’d been wanting to visit forever and found myself with some time one morning to swing byThe empanadas are the most popular item although the sweet baked good and multiple cheese breads looked delicious as wellI decided to heat one to eat there and bought several home to share. After finishing the generous sized ham and cheese empanada, I instinctively went to the box to have another (they’re that great). I realized it was cold and restrained myselfThe empanadas are soft, flaky and filled with generous tasty flavorings. It’s reset all my expectations of what an empanadas can be after a very disappointing experience at the oft-cited Argentinian empanadas in SF’s Ferry Building - SF has nothing on SJ and Milohas!📷 Empanadas $6.75 ~ Meat, Small or Vegetarian, Small ~ Ham & Cheese, Cheese, Chicken, Beef / Cheese Breads $5.75 / Guava Finger $2.50📍Milohas (San Jose, CA)Limited outdoor seating is available although mainly take out. Credit cards accepted.
July 22 · Randy F.Cute casual small cafe specializing in empanadas. Not a lot of seating outside but there's some.Their lunch specials are a great deal. Big thing of soup a dessert a large empanada and a side salad is super filling! Empanadas are big, the crust is crispy, and the filling is super savory.Recommend the Turkey Cranberry, original beef, and any of the breakfast ones! They have a decent amount fried gluten free optionss as well. And their sweets I would recommend.
May 03 · Thao HaThe empanadas are generously filled with their select filling, perfectly cooked to be the right balance of crispy and crunchy with a little bit of a fluff and leave you wanting more. We tried almost every empanada on the menu and were impressed by the dough which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My favorite empanadas were the Hawaiian and the beef and potatoes. I also really enjoyed the guava finger. I was not too crazy about the quinoa and mushroom one because it seemed like a bit of an add combination where the flavor profiles were too similar to satisfy my cravings. Highly recommend! I gave 4 stars for atmosphere because there’s limited outdoor seating so would not be good for a larger group.
September 03 · Marisela MadrigalThey do have some outside seating, but you are not coming for the atmosphere. This is my first time here and for first timers: It is a little overwhelming. You just look at the menu on the wall or you can read the options below through the glass. They have small and large ones. It’s a very small areajust order someone helps you and they close you out. I didn’t realize until after I ordered and saw someone else order. They have some fresh juices which are super good. The passionfruit was really good and very sweet. My egg empanada was a five out of five. My chicken and potato empanada was a 3.5 out of five. I would add cheese inside. It does come with two sauces. I think when you order two you should get three or four sauces because they are pretty small my empanadas were really good. I enjoyed the flavor of the egg one the best because it was really seasoned well and both empanadas had a really good crust and taste. I will come back again and try other flavors along with other juices. Just make sure you step back until you are ready to order because they are moving pretty fast and it is a small area between ordering and pick up.
March 31 · Lala LassiterMy second time here. First time I got Spinach and cheese, and the chicken and potato. Delicious!!Came today, 12/2/24, I tried the Hawaiian, and the Spinach and cheese. Both excellent. Partner having the Turkey and cranberry VERY GOOD. and the chicken potato. Nice chunks of chicken. These are good sized empanadas, about 7 inches in diameter so 2 will be filling.
