Moscow & Tbilisi Bakery Store Introduce
For California residents seeking a truly unique and flavor-rich culinary experience, the Moscow & Tbilisi Bakery Store offers a delightful and authentic journey right in the heart of San Francisco. This establishment is far more than a typical bakery; it is a cultural anchor that beautifully fuses the hearty, comforting cuisine of Russia (Moscow) with the vibrant, flavorful dishes of Georgia (Tbilisi). It provides a necessary and much-appreciated taste of home for those familiar with Slavic and Eurasian food, and an exciting discovery for Californians eager to expand their palate.
The store’s extensive menu immediately sets it apart, offering a massive selection that spans from freshly baked breads to complex main dishes and an impressive array of exquisite pastries. This diversity ensures that whether you are looking for a quick morning coffee and pastry, a savory midday meal, or the perfect cake for a special occasion, Moscow & Tbilisi Bakery Store is equipped to satisfy.
Customer reviews frequently celebrate the genuine, homemade quality of the food. Patrons note that the dishes taste "as if for themselves," providing a comforting and deeply satisfying experience of "homemade Slavic Caloric food." This dedication to traditional preparation and quality ingredients, which avoids "a standard one with a sugar substitute in the supermarket," is what makes this bakery a cherished, must-visit location within the California food landscape. The selection of savory items is particularly lauded, with the Beef Cheburek and the beef and cheese piroshki standing out as "good" and a "solid bite to eat."
The unique fusion is evident across the menu. From the Georgian classic Khachapuri and Khinkali (dumplings) to the rich Russian soups like Borscht and Kharcho, and a stunning variety of Piroshki (stuffed buns), this bakery provides a comprehensive introduction to this rich regional fare. It’s an essential destination for those who "miss such food," serving as a bridge between cultures right here in the Golden State.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I come here for chebureks with meat, pies with sauerkraut, sweet tubes with butter cream. They cook as if for themselves - homemade Slavic Caloric food. The girl is very pretty at the desk. I like it. If you miss such food, it is better to buy a cake here than a standard one with a sugar substitute in the supermarket.
May 15 · Nataliia “NSH” ChernyshInteresting shop, with savoury and sweet items. The Beef Cheburek and the beef and cheese piroshki are good. Solid bite to eat for about $5 each. Very fried and greasy tasting. To go only $5 minimum for cards
June 08 · BThis place has THE BEST piroskys I have ever eaten, except for my Russian mother in law. We drive 3 hours + round trip to get them, buy 2/3 dozen, and come back down to the city when those run out. Love the people who work there, it's clean and delicious.
September 25 · SEvery I’ve tried so far is delicious, and very affordable. The place could use better lighting, and didn’t see anywhere to sit. Also they sell VERY fancy looking pastries I can’t wait to try them all.
May 28 · Luis MahaCheburek with beef was amazing. Piroshki was good too. Hot delicious food. Can’t miss this place. I wish they had the seats upright for us to eat our food. There is a $5 minimum purchase to get service here so you can’t just order 1 item below $5 on it’s own.
