I was born and raised in Scranton but moved to Texas almost 25 years ago. I was in Scranton visiting family while on vacation and stopped by the National Bakery to grab a few bags of rolls and tea biscuits because I haven't had them in a very long time. I have to say, in all honesty, the older woman at the register was very rude. In a word, curt, like she didn't need my families business. If the bakery items weren't so good, we would have just walked out. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, but that was unacceptable. The bakery items, however, were exceptional. Just like I remembered and was well worth an out of the way trip. - Doug's Bass Place
