This dedication to freshness and tradition has built a loyal customer base who will happily wait in line for the chance to walk away with a bag full of their famed products, particularly the legendary Bolillos fresh out of the oven. What is Worth Choosing
When you visit Pacific French Bakery, there are a few must-try items that exemplify why this spot has maintained its local fame for decades.
The single most lauded item is the Bolillo. The bread is a simple yet spectacular example of baking mastery—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and often hot to the touch if you time your visit just right. Customers often buy them in bulk, using them for everything from morning toast to the perfect foundation for a savory torta sandwich.
For sweet tooths, the Salvadoran staples are essential. The Quesadilla Grande (rice, cheese, and cream cake) is a unique and exquisite item, praised for its savory-sweet balance and a texture unlike traditional cheesecake. Another favorite is the Semita Pachita or Semita Alta, featuring a buttery cake and a brown sugar and pineapple filling that is a staple in many Central American homes.
If you are ordering a dessert for a party, the 3 Leches cake is highly recommended. It’s a sponge cake soaked in the perfect blend of three milks, often topped with whipped cream and white chocolate shavings, delivering a moist and incredibly flavorful experience. The Flan, a rich and creamy custard with a generous layer of caramel, is also a house special that regularly receives high praise.
While service experiences can sometimes be hit-or-miss, and lines can certainly form, the overwhelming consensus is that the quality and freshness of the baked goods—the heart of the business—are unparalleled. The bakery remains a necessary stop for anyone in Los Angeles looking to experience authentic, fresh, and exceptionally delicious French and Central American baking. For the warm bread, the cultural favorites, and the unbeatable value, Pacific French Bakery continues to be a true local gem.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would have to say coming here in the morning, you might expect a line. But the service was great, got my order in a timely manner. The smell of fresh bolillos and torta gives this post 5 star.
March 05 · Kimberly MoranI wish o can give 0 stars on service! Every time they are busy they put a sign of cash only their excuse is that the internet is not working odd because I proceed to place my order on line and guess what their internet was working all of a sudden. Bread is the best no complain I have been coming to this bakery for years but the laziness and attitude they have is the worst their customer service needs help.
February 16 · Estefany blancoThe only thing French about this place is the name. how can you call yourself a French bakery and not even offer croissants. I walk in the door to hear Spanish music playing and nothing but Spanish sweet bread. Very misleading
November 08 · Raymond SotoShe grabbed my muffin with lotion on her hands and it slightly got on my food. I thought it was just the bag but it got on the food too. Gross and unprofessional. Had to throw it out. Dont use lotion or at least put on gloves
February 05 · Elia KazanThe bolillo is great for making "panes con pollo"
