For anyone new to Randy's Donuts or a seasoned donut lover looking for recommendations at this Atlanta location, the vast menu can be a little overwhelming. To help you navigate the dozens of choices, we can break down what makes each category special and what the local favorite picks are:
Start with the Classic Donut line, a must for any first-timer. The Glazed Raised ($3.75) is arguably the most essential purchase. It is lauded for its remarkable fluffiness, generous size, and soft texture, which truly sets it apart from competitor donuts. For cake donut fans, the Cinnamon Crumb Cake or any of the simple, satisfying Iced Cake options (like Vanilla or Chocolate) are great choices at the same price point.
If you're moving to the Deluxe options ($4.40), the Glazed Old Fashioned is a customer favorite that offers a denser, slightly crunchy exterior with a rich, moist interior. The Pink Raised with Sprinkles is a fun, colorful choice, perfect for brightening up any morning. The Deluxe category is ideal for those who appreciate more traditional, tried-and-true American donut styles with a high-quality finish.
The Fancy category ($5.00) is where things get truly interesting. The Apple Fritter and Butter Crumb Raised are highly recommended and often cited as local favorites. The Apple Fritter is a rich, dense, and fruit-filled treat, while the Butter Crumb offers an elevated version of the classic raised donut. Don't overlook the jelly-filled options like the Raspberry Jelly Filled for a burst of fruit flavor. This section also features the Crondy options, which are worth trying for their unique, flaky texture.
Finally, the Premium line ($5.65) is designed for the ultimate indulgence. The Nutella Raised is a standout, combining the famous soft dough with a decadent Nutella topping and graham cracker crumbles. The Bacon Maple Long John is the perfect blend of sweet and savory, a popular choice across all locations. For chocolate lovers, the S'mores Raised offers a mini-marshmallow and chocolate drizzle experience. And for those with a truly Texas-sized appetite, the large Texas Glazed or Texas Decorated donuts offer a massive version of the beloved classic.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Tried Randy’s for the first time today! The donuts were VERY good. The classic raised (glazed) was the best I’ve had - so fluffy and soft. The apple fritter was great, but maybe a little on the denser side. Maple bacon long john was also delicious! The service was really good and friendly. The location itself is very small and tight.
July 26 · Russell GilbertRandy’s Donuts has officially made its way to Atlanta, and I had the chance to check them out on day two of their grand opening. This new location sits right in the Lenox Mall parking lot, and it’s impossible to miss thanks to the iconic giant floating Randy’s donut perched outside. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine Southern hospitality. A friendly gentleman outside welcomed guests with a warm smile, and that same energy carried through to the staff inside. As a first-timer, I kept it classic—glazed, strawberry with sprinkles, vanilla with sprinkles, and a chocolate cake donut. Each one was generously sized, soft, and fluffy with just the right touch of sweetness. The setup is container-style, so don’t expect indoor seating. It’s a grab-and-go spot, but they’ve got a patio deck if you want to pause and enjoy your treats on the spot.Overall: Great experience, great donuts, and even better vibes. I’ll definitely be back for another sweet treat
July 08 · D’Jillisser KWe got up early to check out Randy’s… we live nearby and the line is always out the door so we wanted to see what the hype was all about. The donuts were fantastic! They were moist and had great flavor. My husband ordered two Texas donuts and we didn’t realize how huge they are. They’re really big you definitely don’t need multiple of those. The plain glazed was my favorite, but I also got the blueberry and it was great. The service was friendly and fast and the prices are reasonable. We got two very large donuts, a twist donut and two regular sized ones. A chocolate milk and a coffee and that was all less than $30.
August 09 · Felicia HowardIf these are supposedly the best donuts in LA, maybe that’s why I don’t like LA. Or they don’t know how to follow the recipe in Atlanta. Because these were absolute trash. The apple fritter was literally a giant grease bomb! Visually it looked OK and it was big but as soon as you’ve been into it, the grease feeling in your mouth the taste I mean I probably could’ve squeezed it like a sponge and watch the grease drip out of it.As far as the space it’s nonexistent. They make everybody wait outside. They allow one person in at a time then they take 10 minutes to box up the donuts. There was about 12 people ahead of me and it took over an hour for me to get inside. Then once you get inside, they try to push you to order at least a half dozen. I told him I didn’t need that many. I just needed one or two and they were like you sure you don’t want half dozen no just one or two and they literally kept pushing it and pushing it. Absolutely not the kind of place. I’d wanna go again. For what it’s worth I did end up ordering four donuts just because I felt obligated to order more than one, but they all ended up getting tossed in the trash because none of them were worth it.
July 09 · MatthewOverall, a positive first experience with Randy’s Donuts. The donuts had a pleasantly chewy and soft texture, which I personally prefer, making them an ideal fit for my taste. While they weren’t particularly unique or groundbreaking, they were noticeably better than those from typical franchise brands. I look forward to visiting one of their original locations in California to experience the full offering firsthand.
