Introduction / Overview
In the heart of **Long Beach, California**, a revolutionary culinary concept has taken root: **San & Wolves Bakeshop**. This is not just a standard **Bakery**; it is a pioneering **Vegan restaurant** and **Filipino restaurant** that specializes in offering traditional and new Filipino baked goods that are **100% vegan, nut-free, and soy-free**. Founded by Kym Estrada and co-owned with Arvin Torres, this establishment has transitioned from a highly successful pop-up to a beloved brick-and-mortar location, earning a fierce, loyal following across **Southern California**.
For the health-conscious, the ethically-minded, and simply anyone seeking delicious, unique pastries in **California**, San & Wolves hits every mark. Their mission is to create nostalgic Filipino treats without using animal-derived products, using scratch-made ingredients like their house-made coconut oil-based butter. The result? Treats so delicious that, as one review notes, even "meat eater friends" will "gobble them up" before realizing they are entirely vegan. From their **Pandesal** (traditional Filipino sweet bread) to inventive creations like the **Buko Pop Tart** and **Black Sesame Bun**, the quality and flavor are consistently described as hitting it "out of the park with every bite."
As a certified **Small business** that identifies as both **Asian-owned** and **woman-owned**, and actively promotes being an **LGBTQ+ friendly** and **Transgender safespace**, San & Wolves is much more than a bakery; it is a vital, inclusive cultural bridge within the diverse landscape of **Long Beach**.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was so good! I arrived at 12:44pm on a Friday and I got the last two slices of the pandan cake but there were still so many interesting goodies that I'm in a food coma now. When you arrive there are stanchions for a line, but at the time I arrived there was no one ahead of me. When you come to the door they buzz you in like a jeweler So that there's only ever two parties in the tiny little space of the interior. When I spoke to the gentleman behind the counter he said they had been at that location for 6 months and there was a guest in the shop ahead of me, directly behind me, and someone behind them by the time I left. I would not at all be surprised if this expands to an additional location in the near future because I live 40 minutes away and I still think I need to get back there pretty soon. Everything was yummy. Everything. I dare you to bring your meat eater friends these treats and then jump scare them with the whole vegan thing after they've gobbled them up because they will. Vegan baked goods is always a swing and a Miss, but this one hits it out of the park with every bite.

August 09 · Mike PIf the early bird is guaranteed to catch the worm, bro you best get here early!! And when I say early, I mean relatively early AF! And if you're anything like Keesh 6/7am is too early!! Lol!! Staff says folk line up at 6/6:30am and the lines can get super long. I got there about 10:30ish and it was me and 3 others waiting but... No line equals minimum selection! Most of the goodies I wanted to try were long gone tho I did manage to wrangle an ube bun, pandal cake and some corn bread! Sidebar- Sans & Wolves, y'all owe me a Meyer lemon cornbread because I ordered that and you packed me up a plain Jane one lol! They were all yummy but I gotta say that Pandal cake was "Fire" (as my 17 year old would say lol) That bad boy got taken down in 2.3 seconds! The ube bun looks like a cinnamon roll but aside from the icing on top, the bottom isn't very sweet.. I forgot to say the coffee was also very good. I usually prefer a lot of sugar and milk plus 6 drops coffee but their Filipino coffee was actually good unsweetened. The Snackpacker in me concurs that I must return and try some other goodies!! I asked which day is the best to come if you're not an early riser and don't live in the LBC.. They told me, but I'm not gonna post that till after I'm able to go back and gather all the yummies that I need to try!
March 21 · Keesha Fordthere was no line on Thursday at 8:30a. Cute/cozy Filipino vegan pastry shop. The cashier was super nice and when i asked where the coffee was sourced from in the Philippines, he replied from Batangas where they’re known for black coffee. Comes unsweetened but you have the option of adding oat milk. IMO the black coffee compliments the not too sweetness of the pastries. My favorite - the blueberry bibingka corn bread. Moist and just the right amount of sweet.Support this small business :)
June 05 · andyThe line started about 8, we got there at 7:45 for the best pastry ever!! Very friendly owner, beautiful and clean shop, and loved the five things we tried! Also appreciated the organized way they serve two at a time only.Definitely will go back often!
