★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The cutest little bakery in Ballard! They had THE BEST cinnamon rolls. So fresh and perfectly sweet. The sourdough bread and baguette were also delicious! Highly recommend if you’re visiting Ballard
July 26 · Leah Blairi love tall grass bakery for a quick snack with my friends! their brioche bun is amazing, and so is their pretzel. there are lots of breads there including things like cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies. the sesame sticks are also amazing! i would recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth and if you love a good bread.
August 20 · TilliAfter years of searching, finally found a bakery in Seattle that makes spelt loaf…and a damn good one!Nothing crazy, just a team of kind folks who love to bake with good ingredients.Sesame baguette was solid too.
August 04 · Mei ParnesI go here a lot with my dog, who gets a little bite of old soft bread with a visit. But the baked goods for humans: oh my! I feel like this place encapsulates “really good bread before making bread became cool.” A wide variety of different daily loaves with each one being a hit, at a shockingly low price. And the sweet treats: yeah, this isn’t a patisserie, you’re not getting a flaky croissant here. You’re getting a really excellent cookie or scone, also at an excellent price. Crusty or squishy, airy or chewy, crumbly or lip-smacking—however the sourdough or brioche or honey oat or whatever you’re ordering, it’ll be what it’s supposed to be, which is delicious.
July 05 · Enrico or EricI always see lines outside this place and today was my first chance actually check it out. They had a full rack of different baked bread, the variety was impressive. I went with a standard sourdough and they have a slicing machine to make life easy.I also decided to try the pecan roll because I love nuts on bread. And has to try the cinnamon because many have said it's one of the best they've had. Also picked up a chocolate brioche and pad danish for good measure.I really enjoyed the tartness of the sourdough and it's made for a really great grilled cheese sandwich. Found the cinnamon roll a bit too doughy for my tastes. You can get the cinnamon roll with or without raisins. I opted for with the raisins and glad I did.Love that it's a true bakery and you can see the back operations and know that what you're eating baked goods was just earlier in the day. I dropped in at 10:40 AM.Can't wait to try their walnut pain au levain -- one of my favorite loaves.
