It was paired with a silky smooth, slightly jiggly egg custard. The filling had just the right amount of sweetness, though I did wish for a richer egg flavor. Even though I usually prefer a cookie crust, this one still won me over.Btw they also sell mini mooncakes in black sesame and green tea flavors, which really interest me. I will definitely go back to try those and let you guys know my thoughts.

May 31 · Kailin GuoMy absolute favorite egg tarts in Chinatown. There are so many great bakeries that sell egg tarts in the surrounding blocks and Tao Hong is my number one spot for them. The Portuguese egg tarts are perfectly baked with flaky crust and ideal ratio of crust and filling and the filling is a good texture, soft but not mushy and the flavor isn't too eggy.This bakery has a more limited offering compared to others in the area, but the egg tarts are the star, so it is well worth visiting.

This is pretty much to go. a quarter of the place is taken over by plants. Very Chinatown. Prices are good though. Everything wrapped in plastic so huge carbon footprint here.
