★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I don’t like to write negative reviews unless it’s necessary, especially for a Jamaican restaurant HOWEVER…this one is important for the restaurant to be AWARE of. To keep it simple… I started eating my curry shrimp patty and it was ok the first few bites… until I felt a weird texture in one bite. I thought it was maybe a stick of thyme or something at first but once I took it out my mouth.. I realized that a PIECE OF PLASTIC was inside of it!! I couldn’t believe it! Imagine if I was chewing too fast and didn’t catch it?! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! I definitely won’t be going back here again. Shame. I hope they do better for the sake of other patrons!! Pay close attention when people are entrusting their wellbeing in your business by purchasing & eating your food!!!!
April 22 · Kim HBest patties in South Florida, hands down. Crust is a true Jamaican party crust, and their loaves are superlative (Beef, Callaloo and Ackee and Salt Fish). If you live in Dade it's worth the trip!
April 17 · Alexandra JunorApril 4, 2025How do people support this business. See photo of the potato pudding below. Why go back, the belief they will do better.‐----‐----------These small establishments and particularly this location of this business have the rudest staff (Manager) and because many people seeking that Caribbean connection, will continue to patronize them and keep them in business, they continue their sub standard actions and behavior. The patties are horrible of late, flaky and soggy. Plantain tarts are tough and dry and could be used to break concrete. The patties are mostly flaked and falls apart; chicken patties are overly spiced. Is there a mild? If no, have you considered there should be? More tough edges than pastry on plangain tarts which were stale. Photo attached. Large soup had l piece of meat size of a quarter, 1 spinner dumpling. They refuse to properly pack items to maintain the pastry anesthetics. All what would be nice gooey tops on the puddings are transferred on to cheap papers. They will not pack pastry in a box even if you are willing to pay for the box. The owner does not care because the bottom line is not being impacted. Some of us will satisfy for a quick taste over quality and respect which is what we deserve. It's a doggone shame. WE HAVE TO USE OUR $ TO MAKE THEM DO BETTER.
April 04 · Academic & Community ResourcesThis place is completely operated by Jamaican Mommies so you know he patties slap. IMO they are the best in south florida. Hot as the sun, so flaky you’ll wear the crumbs on your shirt and spiced just rite. (See what I did) Pro tip- Gotta get the coco bread so you can make a patty sandwich.
June 11 · Space GhostThe ladies working there were very sweet and attentive! I ordered a beef patty and coco bread for my lunch, it was absolutely delicious and so fresh!!! I will be coming back soon, Thank you!
