★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1It's probably a good thing for my waist line that I didn't find out about Baker's Bench sooner: their baked goods are to die for! They sell a variety of pastries, including almond and chocolate croissants, cheese and fruit Danishes, cinnamon buns (made with their croissant dough), and their famous creme horns. Their other pastries are good (especially that croissant filled with almond paste), but the creme horn is excellent and the BEST creme horn I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and get several of these creme horns, because they are even good the next day! Parking is tricky, so be patient and try to go at an odd time. They don't seem to have a website or social media presence, but as of May 26, 2023 they are open Tues - Sat, 7 - 2 or 3 pm.Update August 2024: These continue to be the BEST pastries. They have forever ruined other creme horns, because their creme horns made from that delicate and delicious croissant dough is absolutely perfect. Our dog was even jealous of the creme horns! We also tried their jumbo cupcakes and they are delicious! In particular, the carrot cake cupcake and the chocolate-peanut butter cupcake were excellent. They are truly jumbo, so be prepared to share, be really full, or save half for a later treat!
August 27 · Jenny McKeeMy boyfriend and I went here for the first time today. We were blown away by what we got. If you go here, the cinnamon roll is the best thing I have ever tasted. We also got a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and a cream horn. We will definitely be going back and recommending to everyone.
April 26 · Meredith BaronI would like to be able to share my own experience; however, every attempt to visit this place and make a purchase have failed. I have been fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer since January, and my visits to this establishment all seem to have been timed wrong. I finally, after checking their overview info, which showed them as open and with much excitement, I headed to their establishment with bank card in hand only to sadly arrive and find a freshly paved parking lot and them closed. I just guess being a customer of theirs is just not meant to be
July 02 · Caitlin AdamsBest pastries around and don't get me started on the sandwiches I have to share with my boyfriend because they are so big and delicious you can't go wrong with anyone you choose everything including the staff are awesome it's a must go to place for breakfast lunch both maybe a snack? You won't be disappointed
July 02 · Tina FillmoreWe are so lucky to have this gem here in Westbrook! Everything that comes out of The Baker’s Bench is delicious and the price feels so reasonable compared to a lot of places in the greater Portland area. Pastries or sandwiches, you won’t be disappointed!
