For many along the North Shore, The Cookie Monstah in Swampscott, MA, aims to be your ultimate destination. This isn't just a cookie shop; it's a place designed to deliver on those sweet cravings, offering a tempting array of cookies, ice cream, and delightful combinations thereof. For residents across the Bay State looking for a quick, delicious treat or a decadent dessert experience, The Cookie Monstah promises a flavorful adventure that aims to leave you satisfied.
The core concept of The Cookie Monstah revolves around combining two beloved desserts: cookies and ice cream. This specialization allows them to focus on crafting delicious versions of both, offering a variety of cookie flavors and ice cream options that can be enjoyed individually or, famously, as decadent cookie ice cream sandwiches. Customers often praise the deliciousness of their offerings, with specific mentions of items like the Snickers ice cream for kids and the salted caramel cookie, indicating a commitment to tasty ingredients and appealing flavor combinations. This dual focus on quality cookies and ice cream is what often attracts and delights sweet tooths in Massachusetts.
However, it is important for local customers to be aware that experiences can sometimes vary at this location. While some customers have lauded the deliciousness and quick service, others have reported concerning instances related to product availability and perceived discrimination in service. Specific feedback has noted situations where requested items were initially denied, only to be prepared for other customers shortly after. These isolated experiences highlight the importance of consistent service and communication to ensure every customer feels welcomed and fairly treated. Despite these challenges, the fundamental appeal of delicious cookies and ice cream remains a strong draw for many looking for a sweet escape in Swampscott.

Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches: A signature service combines their two main products: warm or cold cookies served with a scoop of ice cream in between. This allows for customizable dessert creations, offering a delicious blend of textures and temperatures.
Cookie Quakes (Ice Cream Blended Drinks): Based on customer reviews, the location generally offers "Cookie Quakes," which are ice cream blended drinks, likely incorporating cookies. While specific availability can vary, this type of beverage offers a different way to enjoy their sweet treats.
Variety of Sweet Treats: Beyond standalone cookies and ice cream, the menu might include other delightful combinations or dessert items, as is common with specialized dessert shops, providing more choices for customers with diverse cravings.
Quick Night Stops: The business appears to cater to evening cravings, making it a suitable stop for a "quick night stop" to satisfy a dessert desire before closing, which is convenient for locals.
## Features / Highlights
Delicious Cookies and Ice Cream: The primary highlight of The Cookie Monstah is its core product offering: delicious cookies and ice cream. Customers consistently praise the taste of items like their salted caramel cookies and Snickers ice cream, indicating a strong focus on quality ingredients and appealing flavor profiles.
Classic Cookie and Ice Cream Combinations: The ability to combine freshly baked cookies with various ice cream flavors to create decadent cookie ice cream sandwiches is a significant feature. This allows for customizable and satisfying dessert experiences, catering to those who love the classic pairing.
Variety of Flavors: The availability of different cookie types (e.g., chocolate chip, salted caramel) and ice cream flavors (e.g., Snickers, cookies and cream) ensures there's variety to choose from. This encourages customers to try different combinations and find new favorites with each visit.
Caters to Different Portion Sizes: The option for "kids portion" ice cream demonstrates flexibility in serving different customer needs, allowing individuals to enjoy a treat without committing to a larger size if they "didn't want too much." This thoughtfulness enhances the customer experience.
Convenient for Quick Stops and Evening Cravings: The bakery is well-suited for "quick night stops" and spontaneous dessert cravings, making it a practical choice for locals looking for an immediate sweet treat, especially in the evening hours. Its accessibility supports this convenience.
It is important to note that while the products themselves are generally well-received, some customer feedback for this specific location has highlighted significant concerns regarding inconsistent product availability and potentially discriminatory customer service. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Horrible experience and I probably would never come back. The wife and I asked for a cookie quake and were rang up and until a guy with a hat in the back interjected and was like “ we’re not making them anymore”, so we’re like okay. Then as we’re for something we didn’t even want to order, we hear a blender in the background and the same person making the same drinks we requested for somebody else. 3 OF THEM!!! Kinda felt discriminated against and I promise you we’ll never return. Here the drinks we requested, but the other people were only allowed to order.
April 13 · Lucas RodriguezMade a quick night stop here since we had a cookie craving, and this place definitely delivered! I got the Snickers ice cream for kids portion since I didn't want too much and the salted caramel cookie. Friend got the small cookies and cream with a chocolate chip cookie. Very delish! Only thing is we would have liked warm cookies, but it will do!
November 13 · Nellie RThis is the Place to go if you want some ice cream and cookies. We always order our chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies so good and soft must try . Plenty of parking and outside seating and lots of space indoors aswell. Kid friendly and friendly staff
September 20 · S Williamgreat prices along with great ice cream 🍨 and cookies. I also noticed they have vegan options, now they need to figure out a carnivore option too
July 12 · Gillian GibbAbsolutely love Cookie Monstah! The cookies are out of this world—fresh, warm, and full of flavor. The ice cream is equally fantastic, creamy, and rich with so many delicious options to choose from. But the real magic happens when you pair the cookies with the ice cream. It's the ultimate treat! The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. If you have a sweet tooth, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
