★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Heard so much about the Vreeland Store over the years and it did not disappoint. So many great menu items to choose from. You can go wrong with their burger. The history and the layout of the place itself is second to none. What a great experience from start to finish. Something to look and learn about at every corner. They sold out of their famous lemon bars, so I will have to wait for my next visit, which will be soon. Great Job.
June 06 · Chuck MoundOMG—this place is the real deal! If you’re into that perfect blend of country charm, cozy vintage vibes, and modern amenities, run—don’t walk—to The Vreeland Store.Every year we film a two-day dance recital at West Milford High School. Last year, we only stopped in for a quick bite. This year, we stayed overnight—and wow, what a difference! Between the café, the bar, and the beautifully restored rooms, it’s truly the best of all worlds. Our room was spotless, the central A/C was ice cold (thank you!), and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating.Built in the 1860s, this place is packed with character—seriously, don’t be surprised if George Washington himself trots up on horseback! 😂Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back!
June 21 · Greg RiccardiKristen was an absolute doll. She was so friendly and kind-we really appreciated her service. The food was delicious and the latte was great. (It just could have been a little hotter when I first got it. We really enjoyed our breakfast.
February 23 · E. C0.Disappointing. We have eaten here before and always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but not today. There were 6 of us—4 adults and 2 children. The food came out sporadically, with one of us waiting a full 20 minutes for his meal (French toast, nothing fancy). No silverware, we were given plastic utensils. We had to request coffee refills. Again, very disappointing.
March 02 · donna SticknaOn a pleasant spring evening we gave dinner a try out back on the picnic tables. The music was sweet (acoustic guitarist), but the food not so much. We ordered steamers and were quite surprised (shocked) when clams arrived. we did not protest but for an $18 appetizer we were incredibly underwhelmed. the main course hamburger and veggie burger were also big disappointments, served on plastic baskets and with plastic utensils - really? with tip came to $68 for two. you decide if that makes sense. we will not be having dinner again. if we need a coffee and pastry Vreeland store may pull us back. otherwise, our recommendation is find a real restaurant.Update: gave VS another try for lunch. Very pleasantly surprised. We ate inside and had spinach artichoke grilled cheese, sweet potato fries and a tomato soup. All excellent!
