The distinguishing feature of Trigales Bakery is its commitment to authentic Mexican baking, offering a breadth of products that are difficult to find consolidated in one location elsewhere in the Fox Valley. These highlights make it a unique and valuable local business:
- Authentic Mexican Variety: The expansive list of traditional Pan Dulce—with over two dozen unique items available—is its central highlight. This variety, including seldom-found items like Borracho and Peineta De Queso, positions it as a premier cultural bakery in the region.
- Value-Driven Pricing: With most specialty sweet breads priced around $1.60, the bakery offers highly accessible and affordable treats, making it possible for families to fill "two trays full of different pastries" without breaking the bank.
- Traditional Latin Desserts: The selection of classic desserts like Tres Leches (Three Milks Cake) and Flan (caramel custard) by the slice is a significant draw for those seeking authentic Mexican dessert options for celebrations or daily enjoyment.
- Essential Staple Items: The availability of products like Telera bread is important for the local community, as this specific type of soft sandwich bread is a staple in Mexican cuisine and can be challenging to source locally.

What is worth choosing
Trigales Bakery is worth choosing for Wisconsin residents primarily for its role as an authentic and varied local source of Mexican Pan Dulce. If you are a resident in the Appleton area who craves the taste of traditional Mexican baking, or if you simply want to experience a unique cultural treat, this is the destination to visit.
The chief reason to frequent Trigales is the sheer breadth and affordability of the menu. Customers are happy to find a bakery that offers a wider variety of sweet bread—beyond just the common items—at prices that encourage large, communal purchases. You can explore a new pastry with every visit, from the creamy Mantecada Queso to the unique texture of a Piedra, without a significant financial commitment. The ability to buy a large quantity of different items for a group or a family gathering makes it a highly economical choice for authentic, specialty sweets.
However, it is important for new customers to understand the service environment. While some customers note that "for the most part the girls upfront are very nice and helpful," there have been isolated reports of service issues. When choosing Trigales, it is best to focus on the product: the wealth of affordable, authentic Mexican pastries, desserts, and breads. The quality of the traditional baked goods—the Flan, the Tres Leches, and the abundant sweet breads—is the main draw and the reason local patrons keep returning to this essential Appleton panadería.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My family and I went in being open to a new experience. There was a variety of pastries and we were really excited to try them out. We ended up with two trays full of different pastries and throughout our time here, the girls upfront ignored us and avoided us until there was a line of people behind us. The main girl upfront even went to the back to talk to another girl and talked shit about how much we were going to buy. I don’t know about you but I would be happy if someone or a group of people were willing to buy so much from my business. Pastries were stale and hard. Tried to keep an open mind but the experience ruined it for me and my family. We all walked in with smiles and walked out feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed.
March 16 · Kaelani XiongExcellent bakery in the fox valley area. We used to visit another hispanic bakery, but we found these one that has more sweet bread variety and also cheaper prices. Once in a while a rude person is attending in front, but for the most part the girls upfront are very nice and helpful.
February 01 · Kevin CadalsoThe service is terrible here…. I will NOT BE COMING BACK AFTER THEM NOT GIVING ME BACK MY CORRECT CHANGE AFTER I TOLD THEM ABOUT IT THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND WE SUPER MAD. I was short like $18.75 these people are just trying to steal from the customers… I’ve heard and seen them over charge and not give back the right change I didn’t believe UNTIL IT HAPPENED TO ME…. I hope everyone checks and counts the money before putting it in your pocket cuz they will steal from you!…..Will NOT BE COMING TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN… it’s sad that they even have to steal from the customers…. I was a customer for 3 years….
March 23 · Christian Reyes SanchezIf I could give them no stars, I would. This isn’t usually my family’s go to type of bakery but we decided to support a small business and give it a try and was left very disappointed. Customer service was horrible and we felt very uncomfortable by the way we were treated. Would never return. Bakery was not even good and they all tasted the same
March 16 · Elayna ThaoThis is our family's favorite Mexican bakery. They have truly authentic Mexican pasteries; some of our favorites include: Conchas & Cañones. They speak fluent Spanish and have authentic Mexican store items too, such as candies. They also have traditional, seasonal items. For example, around Day of the Kings (beginning of January), they carry the Roscas de Reyes--a fun family pastry with small plastic figures of the Christ child hidden in it.They also have great tasting tamales--but only on the weekends. They sell out of some things fast, so it's generally a good idea to come early (like late morning hours) for the best selection. We almost always visit the store when we are in the area.
