For local patrons, especially those in the South San Francisco area, the bakery provides an authentic, daily source for foundational Filipino baked goods that are perfect for any meal or occasion. The primary draw lies in the expert crafting of Filipino staples like the Pan de Sal, which serves as the iconic breakfast bread, and the Ensaymada, a sweet, soft, butter-topped roll. The quality and authenticity of these core products are consistently praised, establishing the bakery as a reliable favorite.
Furthermore, Valerio’s is the place to indulge in the popular 'ube' trend in its most traditional and irresistible form. The Pan de Ube, a soft bread filled with sweet purple yam, has been described by customers as 'addicting'—a true testament to its perfect balance of flavor and texture. It is important for new customers to note the commitment to tradition at Valerio's, which means products are made in a way that is true to their Filipino origins. While this dedication to authenticity is a major strength, one customer review noted a specific, concerning incident with potential mold on a cheese pimiento product, suggesting that, as with any freshly baked goods, customers should be mindful of freshness and consumption timing, and communicate any issues directly to the staff. The majority of the community, however, continues to praise the bakery for its quality and the feeling of 'home' that it provides. Whether you are stocking up on a large batch of Corned Beef Pan de Sal for the week, grabbing a quick cup of coffee, or simply satisfying a craving for a sweet Ube treat, Valerio’s offers an authentic, convenient, and deeply satisfying Filipino bakery experience that is well worth the visit in the South San Francisco area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My daughter bought this cheese pimiento last night and when I checked this morning I saw mold underneath. My daughter ate some of the bread this morning for breakfast. We barely go to this location because same incident has happened before.
August 25 · Marinette del mundoPan de ube is my FAVORITE. So addicting.
June 18 · JinJin YongmahapakornThere’s a bunch of Valerio’s in the Bay Area. They all make the same type of Filipino pastries- hopia (mung bean filled moon cakes), siopao with chicken or carne asado, tons of delicate little sweet breads in various shapes. A really yummy place if you’re craving sweet rolls. I will probably go again!
March 10 · Maria VillanuevaEverytime i go to California, I make sure to buy something to bring to Canada for my family from the bakery. I bought few items yesterday from Valerio's South San Francisco rushing to the airport because of my mom's request. I felt very disappointed when i tried the Hopia Baboy, that the quality isn't great, i am eating a lot of bread not much filling with the cost of 7.95 4pieces in a bag. Cost is so expensive, with the quality of food. It feels like it is a rip off. You should check the item first before sell it to your customers so you don't get a bad review. Make sure it is worth for your customers hard earned money.
January 27 · Yhette De LeonI love the Ube turon. It’s a nice twist to the banana langka version.
