August 26 · Richard de LeonA Taste of the Philippine IslandsThis bakery, and their Panorama City location, sells pampagueño tamales. Valerio’s is the only place I know that sells them. The masa is very fine. The whole thing is savory. It’s wrapped in banana leaves. Not sure if pampangueño tamales come in different types, but the ones that Valerio’s sells have chicken and sliced boiled egg inside.*Side Note: The spinach and tomatoes in one of the pictures was made by me. Definitely not available at Valerio’s.
July 02 · M.R. AlvarezIf you like classic Filipino pastries and desert, this is the place to go. They also have a Filipino version of Tamales.
October 26 · Johnnef C MendozaThe sales lady offered me to buy 5 chicken empanada coz it’s cheaper if I got 5 for $8.00 something, I need only 1 but I buy it anyway but when I pay, I got this $1.00 and there’s a big letters on the $1.00 she refused to take it and she argued with me and she told me to go back where I got it, omg! I don’t even recalled who give it to me. Anyway, I’m so mad and told her I’m not buying anything In there store for good. If I’m rude, I should walked out and never forget the items, but I’m a professional and paid it anyway but that will be the last one. My $8.00 and cent over her $1.00. No more rudeness for me.
May 09 · Amy GollenaValerio's used to be our go to place for turon , empanada etc. Got some turon and empanada lately.. Turon was so greasy and the banana was stale.. Their beef empanada have no meat and looked more of a paste.
