**Capacity for Quick Turnaround in Emergencies**: One customer review highlighted their ability to "save the day" by providing a delicious cake with a "quick turn around" and "decorating the cake in minutes" when another baker failed. ---For residents across Connecticut, particularly those in Fairfield and the surrounding areas, Alina's Cakes and Cookies presents itself as a suitable option for various bakery needs, especially when seeking custom-designed treats with a touch of European flair. While individual customer experiences, as seen in the provided reviews, can be varied and highlight areas for improvement, the core strengths of the bakery offer compelling reasons for local patronage.
Firstly, Alina's excels in its **specialization in custom cakes and gourmet baked goods**. For many locals, finding a bakery that can meticulously craft a cake tailored to a specific vision for a birthday, anniversary, or baby shower is invaluable. The promise of "handcrafted from scratch with the finest natural ingredients" and an "irresistible blend of comfort-oriented classics, traditional European specialties, and elegant baked goods" suggests a dedication to quality and flavor that stands out. This commitment to using fresh, real ingredients, avoiding preprocessed items, aligns with the preferences of health-conscious consumers in our region.

This ability to act as a reliable solution in emergencies is a significant asset for any local community.
However, it's crucial for locals to consider the reported inconsistencies in customer service and communication, as noted in one review where a custom order was delivered incorrectly without prior notification and the resolution process was unsatisfactory. This suggests that while their baking capabilities can be top-notch, potential customers might benefit from very clear and specific communication about their orders and expectations, particularly for highly customized items. Despite this, for those prioritizing high-quality, European-inspired baked goods and the potential for a quick turnaround in a pinch, Alina's Cakes and Cookies remains a strong local contender in Fairfield, Connecticut. Supporting such a business contributes to the unique culinary landscape of our community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter and requested specific colors—purple and pink with a turquoise drip and orange writing. When I picked up the cake, I was shocked to see they used a harsh green color for the drip instead. Not only was the substitution very noticeable and not at all close to what I asked for, but no one called to let me know they didn’t have turquoise or to ask if I’d prefer a different color. Communication was completely lacking.I contacted the owner, who said she would refund me half of what I paid ($100). Instead, I only received $25 back, and when I went to pick it up, the experience was disappointing—she was not very friendly or apologetic.I really wanted to support a local business, but this experience left me frustrated and disappointed. A simple phone call and better customer service could have gone a long way.
July 15 · Nicole CosentinoAfter a home baker failed to deliver (the cake literally fell apart within minutes of arriving) we had to scramble and figure out where to get another cake within the hour! Alina’s instantly said they could assist and provided us with one of the most delicious cakes anyone attending the baby shower has ever had! Not only did they save the day but also accommodated such a quick turn around decorating the cake in minutes!
June 03 · Marielle AwadMy family and I moved to the greater Bridgeport area a little over a year ago and one day while at the UPS store we saw Alina’s. Since then it’s been great experience after great experience. My girlfriend and I ordered two cakes for our sons baptism and everyone loved them, usually you have cake to bring home, but that was not the case here, everything was gone down to the frosting. A few weeks later our little one celebrated his first birthday and we ordered a cake and sugar cookies and the deign and taste was nothing short of delightful. Alina and her team do their best to satisfy, we frequent the place so much we know most of the front of the hose associates by name. I would like to give an even bigger shout out to Yasmine and Susanna who are both so welcoming and greeting us with smiles and samples. We recently found out she opened a new location in Westport and they sell freshly made breads, I’m going curb my review but if you’ve made it this far, please go. The treats are well worth it.
June 14 · Dominic Pinnock (TruckingwithDom)I just had Alina's Cakes and Cookies provide the most exquisite cake for my mother's birthday luncheon. It was gorgeous with inlaid real flowers arranged so delicately on the icing. Everyone enjoyed the cake as it was really delicious. And they delivered the cake promptly.
May 26 · Beth KellsI purchased an Elmo cupcake for my daughter today that she was excited to get and it was absolutely disgusting. She took one bite and didn't want it. I tried it myself and the red sprinkles had such a bad taste along with the frosting. My daughter had got a Cookie Monster cupcake very similar to the Elmo one from ShopRite and it tasted very good. It was also a fraction of the price of Alina's.Last time I came here was 2 years ago. I purchased a res velvet cupcake. It was good but a bit hard. I decide to give them another shot and they've gotten worse. I can't speak for the cakes but the cupcakes are definitely not fresh and are dusgusting. A COMPLETE WASTE OF $4.75. it cost me an upset toddler.
