Bashi Bakes Introduce
Welcome to the essential guide for food enthusiasts and dessert lovers across the Golden State. For California residents seeking an extraordinary and highly specialized sweet treat, Bashi Bakes stands out as a unique culinary destination right in the heart of Long Beach. More than just a local bakery, Bashi Bakes has established itself as a purveyor of an increasingly popular, yet often hard-to-find, dessert: the Burnt Basque Cheesecake. While the traditional version of this cake is celebrated for its dense, creamy, and custard-like interior, Bashi Bakes has carved out a distinct niche by specializing in a rendition that leans heavily toward a lighter, softer, and more airy composition, often likened to the Japanese cheesecake style.
This specialization makes Bashi Bakes a compelling point of interest for anyone in the greater Southern California area looking for something beyond the conventional bakery offerings. In a region celebrated for its diverse and high-quality food scene, finding a place that masters a specific, nuanced product like this is a true find. The commitment to this particular style of cheesecake speaks volumes about the quality and focus that California locals can expect from this establishment. The dedication to this lighter, fluffy profile ensures that every visit promises a consistently exceptional experience for those who appreciate this specific texture and flavor balance. It’s a local business that adds a distinct flavor to the vibrant Long Beach community, inviting patrons from all over California to explore its unique offering.
The quest for the perfect dessert often ends at Bashi Bakes, not just because of its product, but because it fills a noticeable gap in the Southern California dessert landscape. Many residents have traveled or experienced the creamy, custard-filled style of Basque cheesecake, but the airy, less-dense counterpart is a novelty. This establishment provides a consistent and high-quality source for that distinctive, delicate dessert experience. It’s a compelling reason for a weekend trip or a special detour for anyone residing in Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego counties, solidifying its place as a regional attraction. The attention to detail in their craft elevates a simple dessert into a refined, memorable treat.

Bashi Bakes Reviews
This is not your authentic creamy, custard like interior burnt basque cheesecake. It's more like the Japanese version. Light, soft, airy and fluffy. Not what I wanted... if you like the Japanese version then you will like this one but don't expect the authentic one that's creamy, custard like in the inside.
July 07 · jovi veelosI tried burnt cheesecake once in Europe once and couldn’t find it anywhere in Socal, thankfully finally I found this place, 10/10 I would say. Definitely will come back with bigger one.
June 10 · Jayden LamBest basque burnt cheesecake in LA, and definitely the best I’ve ever had. Quality 5/5 presentation 5/5 the perfect gift too!Must try 💯
June 09 · Idean HashemianThe BEST basque burnt cheesecake in LA!! Complete melt-in-your-mouth you are floating on a cloud with every bite- kind of dessert! Started ordering her 10 inch cakes for parties but I do like that she offers mini bb’s. The variety of sizes offered makes it perfect for any occasion.
June 09 · Victoria FabilaThis Basque cheesecake is the absolute best cheesecake in Los Angeles, and probably all of California (maybe the country?...) - even better than New York cheesecake. There is nothing else like it. It has an amazingly creamy texture somewhat akin to custard or flan. The burnt cheesecake edges remind me of a creamy, luxurious crème brulee. If you are in LA or the South Bay area, you must treat yourself and pick up this cake or get it delivered. Perfect for parties as the 10" cake especially is an impressive statement dessert that will leave quite the impression.
