Birrittella's Introduce
Introduction / Overview: A Century of New York Baking Tradition
For New Yorkers who value authentic, quality ingredients, **Birrittella's** represents a piece of local history baked into a modern, convenient product. Tracing its roots back to Tarrytown in 1910, this Westchester County establishment was founded by Italian immigrant Vincenzo Birrittella, who quickly became known for crafting some of the most sought-after, old-world Italian bread in the region.
Today, while the business has evolved through multiple generations of family leadership and new ownership, its core focus has narrowed and refined: providing authentic, ready-to-bake **New York-style pizza dough**. This isn't just any dough; it’s a product with over a hundred years of heritage, developed specifically to help home cooks, pizzerias, and restaurants achieve that desirable, classic New York slice—light and airy on the edges, stretchy and thin in the center. The Tarrytown facility acts as the hub for this specialized operation, which now distributes its famous product to supermarkets throughout the New York Metropolitan area and the Northeast. While the focus of the physical location is primarily industrial, its historical foundation in the heart of Tarrytown ensures its continued connection to the New York local food scene. The primary service option for the community is **Takeout** of their pre-packaged, versatile dough products, facilitating a **Quick visit** for consumers.
Location and Accessibility: The Tarrytown Production Hub
Birrittella’s operates from its historic and active facility in Tarrytown, a location with deep roots in the community and a strong connection to the company’s century-long history in Westchester County.
The official address is: 150 Wildey St, Tarrytown, NY 10591, USA.
Located just miles north of New York City, Tarrytown serves as an ideal base for distributing products throughout the Metropolitan area. The facility on Wildey Street is primarily known as the production facility for their famous dough. For local customers, any interaction at this address is focused on quick and efficient product retrieval or local sales, embodying the "Takeout" and "Quick visit" nature of the operation. Specific details regarding general public accessibility features for the production facility itself are not widely published for retail visits, however, the product is highly accessible through its widespread availability in local New York supermarkets. For those interested in the origin of their favorite New York-style dough, this Tarrytown address is the heart of the operation.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ugh! I purchased 2 packages of pizza dough for a very specific recipe for a very special occasion. I was completely disappointed because this dough was a disaster and completely useless. I thawed in the refrigerator overnight then followed the directions exactly. I even went so far as to watch the videos on their website to make certain I was successful in using their product. Neither package of dough rose despite all efforts and directions. I had to fall back on the always successful - yogurt and flour recipe - for last minute rescue. This dough is not cheap and I am so disappointed to have to throw away all of that money. I will not purchase their products again and will not recommend them.
January 16 · 74 DragonfliesYikes this dough was horrendous. Let it sit for 4 hours and still was unusable. Terribly sad as we had high expectations for this dough.
