★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I stumbled upon this bread shop while in town and decided to give it a try. I ordered the pain au chocolat, apricot bread, and cherry bread, and all were fantastic. The dough was delicious and had a deep, complex flavor! The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality of the bread definitely makes it worth it.
March 02 · TammyI’ve been to Paris, Naples, San Fran and NYC—but the best bread in the world is made right here in Lexington, MA! (At least in my opinion!) Baguette and Durum Levain are obvious highlights. Look forward to a crumb that is somehow dense, chewy, fluffy, and springy all at the same time, and a crust that is definitely crusty, but more yielding than crispy. And the flavor—oh the flavor of wheat! So good sometimes I’ll even just tear off a hunk and eat it undressed. Come here, buy some bread and eat it, you won’t be disappointed.
June 19 · Daniel SvedbergI went into Bread Obsession for baguettes but they were out. I wanted to make garlic bread but the owner and staff person helped me problem solve. They were so helpful. I decided to make the garlic bread out of Lexington Sourdough at their suggestion. It was delicious! Thanks Bread Obsession🙏
December 29 · Kathy MislanIn my opinion every bread that Bread Obsession makes is the best of its kind in Greater Boston. My favorites are the exceptional baguettes and the tender Durum Levain. They have a small but well chosen selection of specialty foods as well as bagels and wonderful pastries, but nothing beats tearing into a fresh baguette. (Buy an extra. Sweep the crumbs away before you get home.)
May 10 · Kelly O'ConnorTrue European bread, so fresh and delicious! The owners are fun, engaging and hardworking. We got baguettes, pasta, home made jam and mustard for a gift basket for a gourmet friend, and he loved it all. Picture below is not from the bakery, but the bread is! Great place and product overall, will be back!
