Did I overpurchase? Perhaps! Would I do it again? Absolutely. Their pastries looked phenomenal fabulous but I was here for bread alone. I only needed a loaf but I saw the fig walnut and the herb gruyere and somehow convinced myself it was reasonable to by both. I have no regrets however. I knew they were perfect the second they handed them over, they were still warm, they smelled insane, there was big beautiful chunks of fig and cheese poking through the crust. They made the subway smell fantastic somehow, they made my dorm smell fantastic, and they made my toasts and sandwiches fantastic because of course they tasted amazing. I forgot to take pictures of the inside but there was a great distribution of the add ins, and the texture of the bread wasn't weighed down at all, light, spongy, no big air pockets (I hate that, because then when you try to slice it you get a hole in your toast). I have no notes. I have no doubt their pastries are of equal quality, and I can't wait to be proved right about that and to try their other breads. Bless this city and its magical bread makers.
