★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wonderful and pleasant experience. They offer a wide variety of pastries, baked goods, and sandwiches.I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and the strawberry cheesecake pizza with also the coffee was delicious. — we truly enjoyed the visit!
June 17 · Sami AlshehriDear all my black sesame folks, Black Sesame Babka is here, but only in March! Breads Bakery has worked together with Molly Yeh to curate this life-changing, indulgent treat. I loved it so much that I recommended my friends to buy together!*Black Sesame Babka ($17.50 each, $30 for two)They generously stuff the babka with so much black sesame paste. The rich, nutty black sesame filling pairs perfectly with the sweetness of slightly melted, crunchy chocolate. The top achieves a golden-brown, flaky perfection. The buttery and toasted flavor somehow reminds me of shredded coconut filling in hong kong style cocktail bun (雞尾包).I’m not someone with a big sweet tooth, but this black sesame babka totally won me over.I heated up the babka in toaster oven at 350°F for 7 minutes—chef’s kiss. I was very surprised the baking sheet wasn’t drenched in oil. In fact, there was no oil at all and the babka didn’t feel oily either. They’ve truly mastered the art of making babka.
March 20 · Ruby ChanI came here to buy a chocolate babka on a recommendation.Breads bakery looks to be a chain and this one that I stopped in had a very “takeaway lunch vibe”. I ordered the babka and then on a whim picked up a cheesecake rugelach and a chocolate Rugelach to take away and try. When I left I ate the Rugelach on my walk home and was absolutely blown away by how soft, delicious and warm they were. Perfect pastry, rich and buttery with generous dark chocolate, and the cheesecake one was light with a hint of lemon.I took the babka home in my suitcase and have been eating it all week. Also excellent but I wish I had bought more of the Rugelachs!!! I’d have also liked to try the chocolate almond croissant but there’s a limit to how many pastries a girl can eat in a day on holiday, alas.
May 18 · Lara HingHighly recommend for a grab-and-go breakfast or light meal. The potato bureka was really good (flaky, flavorful); the plain croissant was good but it could’ve been flakier.Tip- there isn’t a lot of seating so don’t count on being able to dine-in.
May 25 · Daniel Villa, AIADidn’t know where to start in this store. Everything looked so delicious yet, I wasn’t hungry enough for lunch, as I had been noshing all day. I know…rookie mistake! Anyways, I made the adult decision, albeit difficult, to choose only two treats. The rugelach was a great call. This might be the all time best rugelach in New York. Very happy with that decision. We ended up going to their location in Bryant Park later on in our trip because we liked it so much.
