The nostalgic visit was very heartwarming for me. The Bapka bread was fresh, and we had a really nice breakfast, having tried their various pastries. It's really fresh, and the fragrance of the bakery is amazing.
April 26 · Russ FioreI was so excited to have found a neighborhood family-style bakery that seemed to offer wonderful freshly made goods and do custom cakes too. My first clue of my resulting disappointment should have been when every request I made was shot down. But I found a design that the decorator was “comfortable” doing based on what she had already made that was visible in the display case so I picked that and gave the specific colors I wanted. When I came to pick up the cake, it was not the right design nor the way I had asked for the colors to be done. What’s the point of taking the time to come in to place a “custom” order if the decorator is going to do whatever she wants anyway? This special occasion only happens once in a person’s life so it shouldn’t be too much to ask to get exactly what you want to celebrate it. Lesson learned. I’ll stick to them for daily breads or baked goods for myself but something this important for someone else? I’ll be going somewhere else.
May 04 · Annemarie FrisbyThis place is a study in contradictions. The donut and apple pie square were delicious! But the danishes were so dry it was painful to chew. Not to mention the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies- I honestly think they were made incorrectly and were missing an ingredient. Not good. At. All.
June 21 · Amy BishopNot a way to run a business: have been coming here for years from far away, and usually stock up on goodies. But today, after a 2 hr drive, the girl would not sell me the fruit squares I wanted because she "has to sell them in rows" and wanted to give me the corner pieces which I didn't want (I hate crusts) Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 flavors I wanted to buy were corner pieces!! So we bought very little!! Not a way to treat customers! 😡
