★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Has the potential to be one of the best bakeries in Boston, but fell short today.I’m still looking for the best almond croissant in Boston. Colette’s was next on my list. A very French name, so I had high hopes. The almond croissant was beautiful, and perfectly caramelised on the bottom giving it a great crunch and flavour. This is quite rare to find, so props to them. However the almond frangipane inside the croissant was a big let down. It was so bland. I was expecting a rich decadent paste, and theirs really missed the mark.On a side note, maybe people here seemed to enjoy the « Fraisier » cake so I think it’s probably a safer bet to try that instead. Might give them another chance soon, but will try another pastry instead.
June 20 · Myriam WardCute place for delicious French treats! The chocolate croissant was so picturesque and tasted just as good. All the flaky layers were perfect, so light and airy! Definitely one of the best croissants you can find in the Boston area, make sure to stop by!
April 10 · CameronTasty French pastries and croissants. Very friendly people and good service. We came on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed by smiling faces. We loved the raspberry tart, passion fruit meringue tart, Paris brest was my absolute favorite, and apple tart. Coffee and cappuccino were good too. We will be back for sure.
December 09 · Elina UriaevThis little street corner bakery in Boston’s South End puts out some of the best pastries we have had. We tried the pecan tart, chocolate éclair and canelé. They all tasted amazing and were perfectly executed. Very few places produces a textbook canelé, with a crunchy exterior and custardy chewie interior with a hint of rum. This place nails them! We will definitely be back for more.
December 20 · Karl SmithService excellent. Atmosphere really neat. Outdoor seating was cute. Pastries and treats looked amazing but all I stopped for was coffee. For a bakery or coffee shop first thing I look at is their offered size of a cappuccino. True cap sizing is 6oz. So if there are multiple sizes or large sizes of cap offered like 12 or 16 it’s a red flag. So I stuck with drip coffee, and unfortunately even this tasted very weak and had little flavor. I’d try this place again to get food but the coffee needs some work.
