Dancing Deer Baking Co seeks to serve customers who appreciate the convenience of ordering baked goods that can be shipped. Their product line includes items like brownies and other assorted baked treats, often packaged for gifting. For New Yorkers considering their options for purchasing baked goods, whether for personal consumption or as gifts, Dancing Deer Baking Co provides a selection that can be reviewed. The information below details their location, services, and other relevant aspects based on publicly available data.
Dancing Deer Baking Co is located at 22 Hamilton Way, Castleton-On-Hudson, NY 12033, USA. This location places their operations within the Hudson Valley region of New York, a geographical area known for its scenic beauty and accessibility to various communities. Castleton-On-Hudson is a village in Rensselaer County, situated along the Hudson River.
The address on Hamilton Way suggests a presence within a commercial or industrial area of Castleton-On-Hudson, typical for a baking company that may primarily focus on production and potentially online order fulfillment or wholesale distribution rather than a traditional retail storefront open to walk-in customers for daily purchases. For customers in New York, particularly those in the Capital Region (Albany, Schenectady, Troy) and surrounding areas, this location offers a central point for their operations. While specific details on direct retail accessibility for local pick-up are not widely advertised, their primary method of reaching customers appears to be through shipping. Customers considering ordering from Dancing Deer Baking Co should note this operational model, as physical visits may not be the standard method of interaction.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals
Dancing Deer Baking Co, located in Castleton-On-Hudson, New York, may be suitable for certain local New York customers, particularly those who prioritize convenience in receiving baked goods through shipping channels. For individuals looking to send gifts or order treats without visiting a physical retail storefront, their online ordering and delivery model could be a practical option. The range of baked items available, such as brownies and other flavors, provides variety for those seeking different types of sweet indulgences.
However, it's also important for local customers to consider the experiences of others. Some past customer reviews indicate issues with product quality (e.g., mold on brownies) and challenges with customer service responsiveness or resolution of delivery issues. While these instances may not be representative of every order, they are factors for New Yorkers to consider when evaluating whether to place an order. Companies, including those in the baked goods industry, strive to deliver consistent quality and service, but individual experiences can vary.
For local New York residents, particularly in the Hudson Valley, who are considering Dancing Deer Baking Co, it may be beneficial to temper expectations with the understanding that experiences can differ. For those prioritizing a direct, in-person bakery experience with immediate product inspection or localized customer support, exploring other local options might also be worthwhile. Ultimately, Dancing Deer Baking Co offers a specific model of baked goods provision, and its suitability for locals will depend on individual preferences regarding ordering methods, product expectations, and service interactions.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Im beginning to HATE this company. I ordered some brownies for a friend and she said the brownies she opened had mold on them. I ordered four packs of four. They even called me because they didn't have all the flavors that I ordered. She said when they arrived she opened one pack and there was mold on the brownies. She said after that she didn't want any of them, and I dont blame her. I was surprised, so I asked her to send me a picture. It was nasty looking. These brownies are WAY to expensive to have a company mess them up and take your money and think it's ok. That's like stealing to me. Im not happy at all. Tried to call just now and of course there is no answer. Left a message. Will see how long it takes for them to respond. Will return to update my review. Right now, I would NEVER order from them again.
June 19 · K LMI was a long time MA. fan of Dancing Deer, when I believe they wr privately owned. They then seemed to disappear. I switched my allegiance to another home-grown MA. company: Boston Coffee Cake.Dancing Deer recently resurfaced under the auspices of Hudson River Foods. I happily sent a gift 12.17 @ 70.81, not including s&h.The items unfortunately never reached the intended recipient. Adam @ Dancing Deer aka Hudson River Foods offered to resend the items @ 50% off total + shipping. Adam’s math was slightly off, however, as his total for the order was 40 + shipping.Based on his response, mine was not an isolated incident. But, unlike Boston Coffee Cake (or CHEWY, for that matter), good will is “trumped” by the bottom line, & no concerted effort is made to right a situation. I re-sent my gift, from Boston Coffee Cake this time instead (45th BCC sent this holiday), & will not use Dancing Deer in the future. I hope their product is as good as it was in the distant past - and I hope their customer service improves. Please shop local & buy excellent baked goods from Boston Coffee Cake. Customer service, as overseen by Ishmail, is unparalleled. You will never be disappointed, as I was by “The Dancing Deer”.
January 19 · Constance McCashinDancing Deer Baking Co. is the best spot for quality baked cookies, delivered fresh to your front door! I have been shopping here for years. The quality is consistently good. I'd highly recommend their seasonal oatmeal raisin or pumpkin molasses cookies! They are just the right balance of homemade charm and unique new flavors. These cookies are guaranteed to complement a cold glass of milk or warm brew. Grace was especially helpful on this most recent order. She ensured the packing and order details were documented to perfection. Look no further on your cookie hunt - Dancing Deer is your "go to" destination! This is such a favorite shop that I simply had to purchase some more cookies. Try out their pumpkin molasses - almost like a crinkle cookie texture. Out of this world!
January 09 · Adrian VolzI loved Dancing Deer’s peanut butter brownies and would order a case and freeze them. However, in the last 1-2 years, I had so many issues with receiving orders that now I have been trying to verify if the item is in stock. But NO ONE responds. The voice mail is full so I can’t leave a message. The Chat messages are not responded to. Emails are not replied to or bounce. If the company is so badly on the ropes, why are they still advertising on Facebook? I guess I just stopped placing orders.UPDATE 7.2024: There has been a change in Customer Service. The company is now more responsive to emails and product is received in timely manner. The quality of the brownies I order is good- not quite as awesome as it used to be- and shipping/ packaging is not quite as good but okay. I would now give the company 3 stars.
July 23 · Carolyn ScottI hate to write a bad review but was given no other option. This is a review about customer service POLICY, not the products (yummy!) or the CSRs who answer the phones (all very nice! I talked to several because the supervisor they said would call me back never did).My friend ordered from DD for many years. He loved the product and loved giving it for gifts to people he cares about.Last year the order we placed online before Christmas arrived in February. We sent multiple gifts to separate addresses and had no problem placing the large order online. We decided to try again this year hoping they had adjusted to growing pains and that was our mistake.Something was flawed in the online ordering this year such that all 5 orders went to just one address. I was told by a CSR that this happened to other people as well. Shame on Dancing Deer for not honoring their LOYAL customers by at least offering some credit toward a future purchase. They said we should have ordered by phone! We will never use them again.
