In the bustling city of Quincy, a place with a rich history and a thriving local scene, certain businesses stand out not just for their products but for the sense of community they foster. Donut King, located on Copeland Street, is one such establishment. This local gem has earned a sterling reputation as a go-to spot for freshly made donuts that locals rave about. The name "Donut King" is a bold claim, but for many in the area, it's a title well-deserved. The shop prides itself on its classic offerings, focusing on quality and freshness over novelty. Customers consistently praise the donuts for their perfectly soft and airy texture, and the generous, creamy fillings. What makes this place truly special, however, is the combination of its delicious food with a friendly and efficient staff. The lively, early-morning atmosphere, as noted in a customer review, speaks to its status as a beloved neighborhood hub. While some reviews mention minor issues with taste or price adjustments, the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction and loyalty. The fact that the donuts sell out so quickly is a testament to their popularity and the high demand for a high-quality product. This article will provide a detailed look at what makes Donut King an essential stop for Massachusetts locals, exploring its location, services, and the unique features that make it a true monarch in the world of Quincy donuts.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Donut King in Quincy, MA, is an absolute gem! I recently visited the day after National Donut Day and was thrilled to snag one of the last Boston Crème donuts before they sold out. It was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The donut was perfectly soft and fresh, with just the right amount of sweetness. The creamy filling was generous and delicious, and the chocolate glaze on top was rich and indulgent. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth, Donut King is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
June 08 · MassVirtualTours 360 Virtual RealityMAR. 31, 2024 UPDATEFinally had a chance to swing by close to opening. There were trays full of doughnuts this time. It was also surprisingly lively with locals despite the early hour, so I can see why the doughnuts sell out. There were some cutely decorated special doughnuts for Easter, but I stuck to my mission of trying the famous, classic honey dip doughnut. The price ($2.25) was the same as that of the marble cruller that I got last time even though there is less doughnut, so I wish it were cheaper for the size. However, it was airy/fluffy and soft with a delicious glaze. The only thing I did not like was that I could slightly taste old oil with some bites. I think I prefer the slight crunchiness of the marble cruller last time more, but maybe the crunchiness is only unique to cake doughnuts.MAR. 5, 2024Stopped by toward closing even though I would have preferred my first time to be in the morning when the doughnuts would be the freshest. As expected, the majority of the doughnuts were gone by this time. I decided on the marble cruller, which was $2.25, despite the lower price listed on the menu (however, this is still cheaper than doughnuts at "fancier" places, so it's okay). The person working there was friendly.I heated up the doughnut before eating, and it tasted very good. I believe this is a cake doughnut, so the inside was denser. I loved that there was a slight crunchiness. The glaze on the outside was definitely sweet, but the inside was not, so it was a satisfying but not overwhelming dessert. I'll definitely have to swing by at opening to try the doughnuts fresh sometime (I actually love that they open at 4:30 AM because it is so rare to find a place that opens that early. The fact that they close much later than other bakeries/cafes despite being open so early is also pretty amazing).
March 31 · _The Donut King fully lives up to its name. A treasure. All other donuts will now be compared to the Donut King. The pistachio muffin was delicous. Every single Donut was full of love. We have been 2 days in a row and will probably go back tomorrow. Thank you Donut King for making are vacation so delicious.
July 13 · Adam LebinMade a quick stop here on vacation and was surprised how good it was. We ordered a few donuts and coffee. We came around lunch and they were already sold out of half their flavors (which is perfectly understandable for that time of day) but they still had a decent selection and everything we got tasted great. The iced coffee was surprisingly well made. Prices were average (see photos) and there was room to dine in if you wanted to.
August 10 · Nick CThese are the best donuts I've found in Boston yet. I even enjoy their coffee! It's cash only though so bring some with you!
