Einstein Bros. Bagels Introduce
When you're looking for a quick and satisfying start to your day in North Texas, nothing beats a fresh-baked bagel paired with a rich cup of coffee. For those in the Richardson and University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) area, that perfect morning stop is the local Einstein Bros. Bagels. More than just a simple bagel shop, this location serves as a versatile bakery, cozy breakfast restaurant, cafe, and coffee shop, making it a convenient hub for students, faculty, and local residents alike. It’s a spot where you can grab a quick bite, settle in with a laptop, or pick up a baker's dozen to share with the whole office or family.
Einstein Bros. Bagels has established itself as a nationally recognized name for fresh, high-quality bagels and a wide variety of cream cheeses—or 'Shmear' as they affectionately call it. This particular Richardson location, situated conveniently on the UTD campus, is especially vital for the academic and professional community in the area, offering a much-needed break from the Texas heat and a reliable source of breakfast and lunch options. The menu extends far beyond the basic bagel and cream cheese, featuring a full range of handcrafted egg sandwiches, deli lunch favorites, decadent sweets, and a robust selection of beverages, including specialty coffee drinks. For Texans juggling busy schedules, finding a reliable spot that combines speed with quality is a true morning victory, and this location aims to deliver just that, even if, as some customer feedback indicates, the pace of service can sometimes be a point of friction during peak hours.
While a single bagel with Shmear remains a classic and highly popular choice across all Einstein Bros. locations, the Richardson and Dallas-area menus cater directly to the hearty Texas appetite. Locally favored items often include the big, savory egg sandwiches designed to fuel a long day. Customer data frequently highlights the popularity of options like the All-Nighter Egg Sandwich and the Farmhouse Egg Sandwich. The Farmhouse, in particular, piles on cage-free eggs, bacon, ham, cheddar cheese, and a flavorful Country Pepper Cream Cheese Shmear on a Cheesy Hash Brown Gourmet Bagel, making it an excellent, filling choice for anyone needing a significant boost to their morning. Another notable fan favorite, which speaks directly to Texas flavor profiles, is the Texas Brisket Sandwich. This signature breakfast sandwich features cage-free eggs, tender smoked beef brisket, cheddar cheese, and smoky chipotle aioli, traditionally served on a spicy Cheddar Jalapeño Gourmet Bagel. It’s a menu item that truly connects the national bagel brand with local culinary preferences.
For those who prefer a simpler start or are stocking up for the week, the variety of freshly baked bagels and Shmear remains the core attraction. Classic bagels like Plain, Sesame, Everything, and Cinnamon Raisin are consistently reliable. For those looking for more unique flavors, the Signature and Gourmet Bagels stand out, including Asiago Cheese, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Six-Cheese, and Cheesy Hash Brown. The double-whipped Shmear selections are just as diverse, ranging from the traditional Plain and reduced-fat options to sweet choices like Honey Almond, and savory, adventurous spreads like Jalapeño Salsa or Onion & Chive. The option to buy a Baker's Dozen and a tub or two of Shmear is always a high-demand item, perfect for groups and family breakfasts in the Lone Star State.

What is Worth Choosing
For a true taste of what Einstein Bros. Bagels has to offer in the heart of North Texas, the most worthwhile choices combine the brand's best practices with local favorites. The foundation of any great experience here is undoubtedly the fresh-baked bagel itself. Texas patrons are encouraged to explore the rich, savory options that stand out from the crowd.
First and foremost, the Texas Brisket Sandwich is a must-try for any local looking for a breakfast that honors the state's legendary smoked meat culture. This savory masterpiece—featuring smoked beef brisket, egg, cheddar, and smoky chipotle aioli on a robust Cheddar Jalapeño Gourmet Bagel—is a fusion of breakfast necessity and Texas barbecue excellence. It's a hearty meal that is often lauded by customers in the region for its substantial flavor and local appeal.
Alternatively, for those seeking a more traditional yet equally satisfying breakfast, the Farmhouse Egg Sandwich is a consistent customer favorite. Its combination of multiple meats, egg, cheddar, and the signature Country Pepper Cream Cheese Shmear on the Cheesy Hash Brown Gourmet Bagel is a guaranteed way to start any day with a full stomach and a smile.
For simpler pleasure, picking a Single Bagel with Shmear is the most popular single item ordered, giving patrons the freedom to mix and match from the extensive selection. A tried-and-true recommendation for Texas palates would be an Asiago Bagel with Onion & Chive Shmear or an Everything Bagel with Plain Shmear to let the classic flavors shine through. On the sweeter side, the Blueberry Bagel with Honey Almond Shmear is often a delight.
Finally, to fully complete the experience, pairing your bagel or sandwich with a fresh beverage is essential. Given the Texas climate, a large, premium Cold Brew Coffee or one of the new, refreshing Morning Mocktails like the Dragon Fruit Lemon Drop provides the perfect complement to the rich and satisfying food options. Whether you’re fueling up for a long day of classes at UTD, heading to work in the Telecom Corridor, or just enjoying a weekend morning in Richardson, Einstein Bros. Bagels offers quality, variety, and the convenience North Texans appreciate.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Service took a half hour to make a bagelSandwich. The workers there couldn’t figure out how to refill the napkins. Food came cold, workers would have done well at the DMV for how slow they moved. Plus they use AI to reply to all of their reviews. Slop
September 22 · Jack MasonNot impressed with my visit. Location is on the UTD campus. It was clean, nice staff, and not busy around 9 am.I ordered a bacon, cheddar, egg sandwich on a cheesy hash brown bagel. The bagel was okay with what tasted like pepper/herb seasonings on top. I had to toast the bagel at home because it seemed doughy and heat the cheese because it wasn't melted. The bagel sandwich isn't too loaded. I'll go for just ordering the bagel next time.I ordered a vanilla cold brew shake, but I don't think it was prepared right. The top seemed like a foam that separated from the cold brew vs being blended.
April 06 · AsiahI wish I could say this place was good, because it's in a convenient place and sells breakfast bagels which I usually enjoy. However, when 75% of all of my orders reach me with either a) missing items, b) the wrong drink, or c) literally the wrong sandwich, it makes it really hard to like ordering from here.I order online through the Starship app most of the time, and I can't recall having a single good experience with this place through that. This morning I ordered an All-Nighter, an Applewood Bacon & Cheddar on an asiago bagel, a toasted chocolate chip bagel with no spread, and a Sweet Cream Caramel Cooler. What I got was an All-Nighter, some weird sandwich I don't even think is on their menu(everything bagel, egg, spinach, tomato, avocado, and some kind of orange-colored spread), a toasted chocolate chip bagel with a cream cheese spread, and an unblended Sweet Cream Caramel Cooler that I had to blend myself.A real disappointment, but the All-Nighter was good at least. When they get you the right food, it's pretty tasty.I'm not going to be ordering from here anymore, which is a shame because I used to like them a whole lot. I might go to the physical location sometimes, but my experience doing that has also been less than amazing too, because the customer service has been very hit or miss.
September 21 · Lily WebbBruh???They gave me the end piece of the tomato, no onion even though it comes with an onion. Asked for a toasted bagel. Bagel was not toasted overall not the best day. 0/10 😭😭
December 13 · Chioniso MadambaDon't go here lol absolutely not worth the money anymore. It was good years ago but now the coffee is 100% ice with a tiny bit of drink and the food is sloppily put together to the point where it falls apart or there's just not that much there.
