July 20 · Vanessa OlaecheaI stopped by Firehouse Bagels and tried the bacon, egg, and cheese—honestly, it was average. What really stood out, though, was the condition of the place. Nearly everything felt either sticky or slippery, which was off-putting. The high chairs were especially filthy and sticky, and it didn’t look like they had been cleaned in a while. There seemed to be a layer of sticky dust coating everything, including the stuffed animals scattered around the shop.I really hope the next time I visit, the cleanliness has improved. The food has potential, but the overall atmosphere made it hard to enjoy the experience.
June 29 · rochelleBorn and raised in NJ I have high expectations of a bagel. This place doesn’t serve bagels- they serve rolls and call them bagels. The consistency is definitely more like a roll than a bagel. And they’re not even good rolls, they’re not even okay- they’re kinda bad actually. I only ate the contents of my sandwich, not the bread, it was that bad.The beverages out of the cooler (we got 4 different kinds from 4 different fridges) were barely cold. The girl at the counter was nice enough but when I asked for straws they didn’t have them. She asked if I wanted napkins and I said yes but didn’t get them. The thing that really gets me though- the place is FILTHY. Every surface is grimy. The bathroom is unusable it’s so gross. There’s a sign not to touch the light switch because it’s automatic but even the switch “nobody touches” is covered in grease and dust and just so gross. They need to close for like a month, clean every surface repeatedly and learn to make an actual bagel.
July 05 · Jessica StithAvoid this place. Overpriced, low quality, and very rude when I called and asked to fix the problem.I ordered two subs with just veggies and cheese (because we don’t eat meat) and when I got home and opened them, they’re all bread (and the bread is stale). They didn’t include all the veggies I asked for as well. When I called, the owner offered to remake them if I brought all the food back, but when I asked to leave a piece of food so my kids can eat (30 minute drive round trip), I was told no. He doesn’t seem to understand how to speak respectfully to women.I went here because we love Firehouse Bagels in Branchville but it’s closed. These are not the same people. Also, as I waited for my food, I watched almost everyone have to get their orders or food corrected. Go to any other bagel place around here and I guarantee it will be better.
October 06 · kami campagnaThis place has the greatest breakfast sandwiches by far. It is open always and staff (including manager/owner) happily receive their customers warmly. They have been 100% on the money with their foo and coffee. Thank you Firehouse Bagel 2 for taking care of us!!!
