We were so lucky to find a table for a group of 8! I had heard that this place usually has a long wait and an even longer line, but we walked right in with no wait at all.Here are my ratings:• Red velvet cupcake 8/10• Rainbow 4/10• Vanilla birthday 8/10The service was excellent and the space was great, but it’s definitely tight, they only have two tables for seating. The line can wrap around the block, so I’d definitely recommend going early. We went around 12 PM on a Friday and had the place to ourselves. It was such a great experience!

Oh man, oh man if you ever find yourself in the DC area, Georgetown Cupcakes is an absolute must! No trip to DC is complete without stopping here. The icing is perfectly balanced—flavorful without being overpowering or artificial. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful when it comes to picking out your favorites. If you’re not local, grab a box to go—around $22 for half a dozen and $42 for a dozen (prices may vary). There are a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy, and don’t forget to grab a latte on your way out—everything is delicious!

My mom and I watched their show on TLC many years ago and I’m so glad that I was finally able to visit their storefront in DC last year. I recently ordered their cupcakes for delivery for Mother’s Day weekend in honor of my mama and was beyond impressed with the quality, packaging, and the freshness of the cupcakes. This order made a hard weekend a little bit sweeter for me. The lavender blueberry and lemon raspberry amazing but I hope all the May flavors return next year!

I went around 3pm, there were a lot of people in line, waited about 15-20 minutes. The shop has many flavors of cupcakes, there are samples of each flavor to choose from. I like the sheet cake flavor the most, it's very delicious. The next one is the red velvet flavor. The taste of the cupcake is not too sweet. The shop also has a variety of drinks to choose from. If I have someone I know who comes to visit DC, I will recommend them to come and try. As for the space in the shop, it's quite small, there are about 3-4 tables to sit at. Most of the customers I see are buying to take home.
