★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The bread is very good, but the food isn't. I went on Sunday for the hornado, and the truth is, it wasn't very flavorful—it was a 1/5. The portion is too small for the price. If you're thinking you're going to get the potato tortilla like many places serve, you're not. It's just a puree. The salad is also disappointing, just lettuce and tomato with no seasoning. I ordered the bolón, and I don't know where they got it from; it was a ball with two pieces of rib on the side that had almost no meat. The mote pillo and mote sucio were nothing like what I expected. I think they should put more effort into it, because that's not what Ecuadorian food is like.
September 08 · Alexa BorjaThe place is well-designed and has plenty of parking. It's preferable to pay in cash rather than by card. All Ecuadorian products are behind glass, and you have to ask the cashier for them to be given to you. I imagine it's for security reasons. The only complaint I have is that it's VERY HOT inside, it's stifling. Oh, but the bread is fresh and delicious. Each loaf costs about $2, but the size is quite large. $26 for 13 assorted loaves.
