Half Moon Empanadas - Gate F11 Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For Floridians and visitors passing through the busy terminals of Miami International Airport (MIA), finding authentic, quick, and satisfying food is a priority. **Half Moon Empanadas - Gate F11** offers a localized yet familiar **Bakery** concept, specializing in the handheld, delicious South American pastry known as the empanada. This establishment functions as a dedicated quick-service food vendor, perfectly aligned with the needs of travelers, offering both savory and sweet options for a rapid meal.
Positioned conveniently airside, this location focuses entirely on **Takeout** and facilitates a **Quick visit**, making it an ideal grab-and-go spot for those rushing to or from their gates. The core menu centers on an impressive variety of artisanal empanadas, covering all dining preferences, from a quick **Breakfast** on the run to a light lunch or snack. They also provide essential travel amenities, including freshly brewed **Coffee** and a selection of teas and beverages.
However, potential patrons should be aware of the highly variable nature of the traveler experience at this location. While one customer was **“delighted to see that they had a nice selection of organic teas”** and found a **“delicious surprise to find a vegetarian”** option, another review expressed extreme disappointment, describing a $30 purchase (empanadas and iced coffee) as **“Absolutely inedible!!!”** This suggests that while the concept and menu variety are strong features, the consistency of the product quality at this high-volume airport location can sometimes be a concern for Floridian consumers. The tone for local users should be one of measured professionalism: great for speed and variety, but with an awareness of noted inconsistencies.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Absolutely inedible!!! Just wasted $30 on 4 small empanadas & an iced coffee that we can’t eat or drink bc it’s disgusting. I hate to leave a bad review- but I had to bc I’m so disappointed!! Frustrating to spend that money & can’t even eat the food.
June 24 · Vanessa GittensIt was a delicious surprise to find a vegetarian at Miami International airport. I was delighted to see that they had a nice selection of organic teas as well.
July 02 · Cassandra DuchenaudService was meh they don't have a friendly demeanor, prices they charged were inconsistent with the board, I ordered a box and they charged by individual pieces instead of box price, (I didn't realize till afterwards otherwise I would've definitely said something) also they didn't give me a box at all rather they threw everything into a paper baggie, that said the empanadas were absolutely delicious would recommend going just be on top of what they're charging you and don't let them intimidate you.
May 05 · DovberYou cannot go from terminal F to any other terminal airside so plan accordingly if you want to use a lounge. The food here is stupidly overpriced.
February 08 · H XPlace is trash. Coffee is super bad. The Cuban lady who works here is rude af. I ordered a capuccino, it came out cold. Poor service
