High Point Production Facility - NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Introduce
For residents of Pennsylvania, especially those familiar with the vibrant cafe culture of Philadelphia, the name High Point Cafe is synonymous with quality coffee and exceptional, handmade pastries. While many enjoy the atmosphere and retail experience at their cafe locations, the engine room that ensures this freshness and consistent quality is the High Point Production Facility.
Located at 6700 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, this facility is a core component of the High Point operation, functioning as a dedicated Bakery and Coffee roasters hub. It represents the enterprise's commitment to scaling its production to meet the high demand for its ethically sourced, locally roasted coffee and popular baked goods, including a focus on items created in a separate gluten-free kitchen. This distinction is crucial, as the facility is designed for commercial production and wholesale distribution, supplying their retail cafes and other stellar establishments throughout and around Philly.
It is absolutely essential for local users to understand that this location is a dedicated production and administrative facility and is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC for general retail purchases. Attempting to visit this address for a cup of coffee or a pastry will lead to disappointment, as this is where the magic is made, not where it is sold directly to walk-in customers. The facility's primary function is to support the retail cafes by baking the pastries that change daily with the seasons and roasting the coffee beans that form the foundation of their signature blends.
In 2015, the company expanded its operations to this former post office building at 6700 Germantown Avenue to keep up with the soaring demand for its products, establishing a high-capacity commercial bakery and a coffee roasting facility. This strategic move allowed High Point to expand its wholesale division, ensuring that a greater number of businesses and local customers could enjoy their fresh products indirectly. While one previous customer review highlights the confusion and frustration experienced by trying to order at a location not set up for retail transactions, it perfectly underscores the importance of directing customers to the proper retail storefronts, such as the widely popular "Mother Ship" cafe on Carpenter Lane.

Location and Accessibility
The High Point Production Facility is situated at 6700 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19119, USA. This address is located in the Mount Airy section of Northwest Philadelphia. While Germantown Avenue is a major thoroughfare, for consumers seeking the traditional cafe experience, this specific address is one they must bypass.
As a production and wholesale facility, the nature of its operations means it is not configured for customer flow. However, as an active commercial establishment, it maintains the necessary accessibility standards for vendors and employees:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance for commercial operations.
For those looking for the full retail service, the Mount Airy community is home to the company's famous cafes. The nearest retail locations are:
- The Original - "Mother Ship" Cafe at 602 Carpenter Ln, Philadelphia, PA 19119.
- The Cafe at Allens Lane Train Station, 7210 Cresheim Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19119.
If you are a wholesale client or need to conduct business with the production or administrative office, the Germantown Ave location is the correct point of contact. However, for a consumer coffee and pastry run, please visit one of the dedicated retail cafes.

- Wholesale Distribution: Supplying finished baked goods and freshly roasted coffee products to various "stellar cafes" and businesses throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding Pennsylvania region.
- Administrative/Office Space: This location functions as the central office for the company's production and business operations.

What is Worth Choosing
For the Pennsylvania business community, choosing the High Point Production Facility means selecting a partner dedicated to superior quality in both baked goods and coffee roasting. For wholesale customers—whether you own a small cafe, a corporate office, or a catering company—this facility is the dependable engine that powers your own operations with premium products.
The core value proposition of High Point is the seamless integration of their coffee roasting and bakery services. By controlling the process from green bean to final roast, and from raw ingredients to handcrafted pastry, they guarantee a level of freshness and quality consistency that is difficult to match. Wholesale partners benefit from accessing a wide range of products, including their popular seasonal pastries and their various coffee blends, all backed by a production team committed to ethical sourcing.
Moreover, for any business or institution seeking to provide high-quality, artisan food that caters to diverse consumer needs, the dedicated gluten-free kitchen within this facility is an invaluable resource. This allows wholesale clients to offer delicious, safe options to their customers without the complex logistics of separate preparation.
While the facility at 6700 Germantown Ave is not the location for your personal, daily coffee run—you must visit their public cafes for that—it is the essential, professional backbone of a beloved local brand. It stands as a testament to Mount Airy's commitment to supporting local entrepreneurship and high-quality food production, ensuring that the authentic taste of High Point products can be enjoyed across the Pennsylvania region, whether you're at their cafe or one of the many other businesses they supply.

Today, Sat, 10/24, was the worse experience ever... in 11 years. The current system is a mess and not enough people to manage it all. Between pre orders, Scan orders and window orders, a huge fail. I paid cash for a basic latte and a cup of reg coffee. Waited 40 min. Elected to cancel the order. Person at window says I will refund you... as in to my card. Mind you. No receipts. Just post its and I paid in cash 9.84 plus dollar to tip jar. I say I paid in cash... she says, ok. Then turns to counter and continues to bag food... I wait 8 more minutes. She is no where to be seen, so I call thru window, it's a donation and leave. She approaches as I confirming and says, 'OK, thanks!" A fiasco!!!!Tell customers at window how long they will wait. There were folks waiting ahead of me then more after. Not a typical wait... but, waaaaaiiiittttiiiinnnngg. So disappointing.
