★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Given that this is specifically a bagel store, I would have expected the cream cheese to be made from fresh locally sourced dairy farms, but it is not. In comparison to Noe Bagels down the street, the cream cheese is a bit more flat, less veggies, and bagel is more dense, more chewy. I was notWowed, which you would expect from a bagel only shop.
May 07 · Aayushi PatelI have bought, eaten and ENJOYED eating Holey Bagels, located in Noe Valley, for over 25 years! Saturday trips to the Farmers Market on 24th Street mean a bagel with lox, eaten then and there, usually at Martha's coffee. With lox spread, with eggs and cheese. My favorite bagel is sesame - by the time they close there are usually no more left and I have often gotten there too late! I buy a half dozen, take them home, cut them in half and refrigerate or freeze them....they are delicious, toasted, with lox spread or butter...breakfast, lunch, snack. Enough said. Oh! Prices are very fair and comparable, if not much less than the "Best" in San Francisco!
July 31 · Helene WenzelBagel with lox was very good. High quality bagel and tomato. Usually not a fan of tomatoes, but I liked the ones they used. Also had a pretty good selection of soft drinks, which was nice. You can buy just lox or cream cheese from here, but it seemed pretty expensive. Very much a hole in the wall, but the decor was cute.
July 08 · Josh lawsonit’s a small no-frills place with great bagels. i’ve been going here since i was a baby so it has a special place in my heart. the place is located conveniently next to a lovely little cafe as well as a quaint neighborhood square with plenty of outdoor seating.
July 05 · Spencer BrowningI've had better bagels from the grocery store. Somehow my bagel with regular cream cheese was $5.95? Even though the sign has it priced differently. Bagel itself was super dense. With all the bagel options in SF now I'll have to pass on this one unfortunately.
