★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I am really impressed by the remodel by the new owner! The new branding and interior look great! I have always been a fan of the bakery’s traditional Filipino baked goods that I have picked up at UniMart. This was my first time coming for lunch and it was exceeded my expectations! I recently came back from Manila and was missing the feeling of traditional Filipino food without the frills of modernized cultural food that comes from a lot of new Filipino restaurants in the States. I ordered the special which was Lechon kawali it was so crispy and delicious! My friend ordered the beef adobo, it was incredibly savory and tender! I am not usually a fan of Java rice but I ate all of it as was so delicious with the condiments of vinegar and a vegetarian lechon sauce. I ordered a calamansi iced tea which was so perfect and refreshing! I also ordered some baked goods to go, including the ube ensaymada, that they top with ube frosting and cheese fresh which each order! Can we talk about how perfectly fluffy and buttery soft the ensaymada was with the right amount of ube filling? I regret not buying half a dozen to take home! The hopia ube and hopia mungbean, which were also soft and flakely and not dry the next day. Overall, Kapwa has the feeling of the Filipino home, you feel welcomed and ready to be fed! It was a joyous and delicious experience, no pretentiousness. I am definitely coming back and bringing friends and family!
September 11 · Moki TantocoFood was great and friendly staff. I really enjoyed my tocino and the worker Rodney was very helpful.
August 01 · AlecAs a first timer, I thoroughly enjoyed my overall experience at this bakery. I had came to attend the cars and coffee that was being held here last weekend, and I forgot to leave a review, so I am leaving one now. Many great options of breads and Filipino pastries. The ube hopia and ensaymada are so good! I also ordered their longsilog (longanisa) filipino sausage with garlic rice, pickled radish and some vinegar based sauces for dipping on the side - It was absolutely delicious! The food is great here, and the beautiful JDM cars that morning were the bonus. Thanks for an excellent experience!
September 14 · Carl MarrionneWe got cupcakes for our newborn’s 2nd month birthday and the cupcakes are so cute! We got the calamansi cupcake, chocolate cupcake and a Spanish latte. The latte really brought me back to life. We had a conversation with the worker and he was so nice and really knew the products well. Would come back again!
June 26 · Gabriel BarnettJune 25, we got ube mamon it was stale. Today, we ordered rice bowls and mango cake bar via door dash but my sister picked it up. The Java rice is spoiled the mango cake bar is very hard like 5 days old. We needed to drove back to return the food, nothing to really compensate us of going back and forth. But they said sorry about it. Also, the return could’ve been easier if they really picked up the phone.
